1014     RNAS 1918 Aeronaut’s Certificate and Ephemera
A rare example of a Royal Aero Club Aeronaut’s Certificate number 197 issued 4th October 1918 to Air Mechanic Edward Arthur Lloyd Giles RNAS. The license is accompanied by a hand written note book log, recording flights in airships May to June 1918 from Hurlington Polo Ground Air Base ... A Pulham Airship Station 1918 silver football medal, this accompanied by a group photograph of the Football team ... A photograph of the crew of Airship C-27 standing in front of the airship. Plus a few press photographs. Little age wear GC. (Small Quantity) (£200 - £300)
1015     WW2 Period C Type Flying Helmet and Oxygen Mask.
A example of the second type with elasticated chin strap, size 4. Chamois lining complete with ear doughnuts. Fitted with an internal wiring loom ... Together with a post war “H” type rubber oxygen mask with large size WWII pattern switch. Mask dated April 1950 ... Also a pair of MKVII Flying goggles, these retaining flip shield mount, but with some age wear. (Incorrect strap). GC (3 items) (£150 - £200)
1016     WWII Luftwaffe Aircrew Log Book.
This example was compiled by Brand Uffz and started on the 11th September 1939. It records 467 flights through to 1941. Mostly flying in HE111 and JU88 Bombers. GC Original paper cover. (£150 - £200)
1017     Royal Air Force 1944 “Scramble” Bell.
A good scarce large white metal example bearing large size Crowned AM and 1944 to the front. Complete with clapper this with white knotted rope handle. GC (£250 - £350)
1018     Royal Air Force WWII Period Irvin Flying Jacket.
A good short brown fur lined example with a four panel back. Leather remains supple, good size. Master zip and one sleeve zip broken, otherwise GC. (£180 - £220)
1019     German. WWII period Luftwaffe flying boots.
A black leather pair with sheepskin lining, retaining ankle strap and with original zips in working order. Heavy wear with some rips to the leather and crude repairs (£50 - £75)
1020     Royal Air Force Aircrew issue parachute bag.
A WWII period example of canvas material with web carrying handles. Zip remains in working order. GC Clean (£30 - £40)
This pattern of bag was standard issue to all RAF aircrew during WWII and the early post-war years.
1021     WWI Royal Flying Corps style Flying Helmet.
Tan brown leather with blanket lining to the interior. Remains in clean condition, leather supple. (£60 - £80)
1022     RAF 1943 issue Aircrew battledress blouse.
British made example retaining issue label Size 11 Height 5’9" to 5’ 10”. Clear date 1943. Tailored with shoulder eagles. Slight wear GC. (£60 - £100)

1024     Battle of Britain period 1930 pattern RAF Flying Suit.
A good example made of rubberised material with fur lining to the knee pockets. The interior with a clear AM issue stamp and date 1940. Complete with working zips, but with some service wear and a few holes. (£100 - £120)

1030     RAF 1st Pattern “Nuffield” Escape Boots.
A very rare pair of the pattern similar to the 1943 RAF Escape boots. This pair with a black polished leather upper section with a zip to the front. The interior with sheepskin lining. Complete with alloy zips. The tags to the pullers are absent. At present the zips are fastened closed, but may require a little attention. The overall condition is good, with little sheepskin loss. (£250 - £300)
1031     RAF 1941 pattern flying gauntlets.
A scarce pair of the example with diagonal zips. This pair appear to have been worn as a pair although not a perfect colour match. Slight service wear GC. (£50 - £75)
1032     Great War 1915 Imperial German Aerial Bomb.
A scarce example of the Sprengstoff Carbonite 4.5 Kilo high explosive bomb. The fuse cap assembly is stamped “7 15”, also with a Crown and M. Indicating the Imperial Naval Air service and made in July 1915. Complete with fin, spinner and handle. Some surface rust pitting, but remains in good condition. (£150 - £200)
1033     Great War Period, Two Aerial Flechettes.
The first is a scarce example of the pencil type used by both British and German Forces over the Western Front. Clean condition GC ... The second example is a plain steel point with brass cylinder shaft believed to have been used for attacking Zeppelin and observation balloons GC. (2 items) (£60 - £100)
1034     An “A” pattern “East of Malta” flying helmet.
A rare example of the pattern commonly used in the inter war years by RAF aircrew on the North West Frontier etc. The cork helmet is similar in design to the issue foreign service helmet. The exterior is of light khaki cloth with five fold pagri and eight ventilation holes. The interior retains leather sweatband ear protectors that can incorporate Gosport earphones. The lining bears a faint Crowned AM stamp and date 1940. Complete with leather strap for goggles, this a little dry. Slight service wear and staining to the ear flaps. GC (£200 - £300)
