957     German. Hunting sidearm by Eickhorn.
A fine example with simulated staghorn grip mounted with three applied acorns, ornate pommel with acorn finial; deer’s feet crossguard; the langet depicting a game bird. The 25 cm flat blade etched both sides with hunting scenes. Housed in its blue leather scabbard with silver plated mounts, acorn frog stud. Chape with stag scene. Generally VGC (£200 - £300)
958     German. Hunting sidearm by Whitby, Solingen, Germany.
A good lightweight example with simulated staghorn grip, acorn ornamented pommel now lacking finial/pommel with acorn finial; acorn ended crossguard; with clamshell guard. The 26 cm blade etched on one side with deer in a forest setting. Housed in its blue leather scabbard with ringed top mount and chape. Generally GC (£75 - £100)
959     German. 1933 model SS dagger by Gottlieb Hammesfahr of Solingen.
A good example, the blade etched “Meine Ehre heist Treue” (My Honour is Loyalty), the reverse with maker’s logo. Black wooden grip inlaid with silvered eagle and enamelled circular SS device; the nickel crossguard impressed III. Housed in original, possibly well repainted black painted nickel mounted scabbard with single loose suspension ring complete with black hanging strap and clip. Minor service wear, with light oil stains to blade, one or two small dents to chape. Near VGC (£500 - £600)
960     German. Attributed Kriegsmarine dagger with Damascus blade.
A fine and rare 1901 pattern example bearing 1938 3rd Reich eagle and swastika pommel, the scabbard engraved with Officer’s name “Westerkamp”. Double fullered lightly damascened blade by GB & S with crossed swords logo and knight’s helm on the other side. Gilded brass mounts with simulated ivory grip lacking wire. Housed in its gilt metal scabbard with lightening bolt designs and retaining both loose suspension rings; complete with both velvet backed black silk hanging straps with gilded aluminium mounts; associated knot. Blade clean, minor service wear, gilt worn to brass on scabbard which has a few small dents. GC (£1,500 - £1,800)
Vendor’s research file accompanies the lot and includes photocopies from various German Navy Lists. This research sates the dagger was carried by Kapitänleutnant Siegfried Westerkamp who first appears in the 1935 List; promoted Korvettenkapitän in 1938 and Fregattenkapitän in 1942
961     German. WWII Cavalry Officer’s service dress tunic.
A good grey woollen four pocket Oberleutnant’s private purchase example with dark green collar, yellow lines to the collar patches and backing to the shoulder boards which bear gilt “11”. To the left breast, an aluminium wire eagle and swastika (possibly reapplied); to the right pocket pleat provision for an award. Turn back cuffs. Retains internal dagger strap with Assmann DRGM marked clip. VGC (£200 - £300)

963     German. SS Officer’s bullion arm eagle.
A good scarce example of aluminium wire embroidered on black. Removed from uniform. Oxidised ... together with an aluminium SS skull cap badge with RZM and 499/41 to reverse. (one of two fixing pins). (2 items) (£150 - £200)

964     German. Waffen SS Prinz Eugen cuff title.
A good scarce full length example removed from uniform. Cloth embroidered lettering on black, aluminium wire line embroidered on top and bottom. Heavy service wear, stitching faults. (£150 - £200)
Captured at the end of WW2 by Pte. Nolan, Northamptonshire Regiment. Has been on display in the Museum for a number of years. The notorious SS Prinz Eugen Division was raised in 1942 and named after the great military leader, Prince Eugene of Savoy. Served in Serbia, Croatia and Austria fighting guerrilla forces. At the end of the war, the Division was accused of “committing some of the worst atrocities attributable to any soldiers during the Second World War”.
965     German. Third Reich Army Officer’s dagger by Alcoso, Solingen.
A good example with orange ivorine twist grip, the blade etched with maker’s scales logo; the silver plated crossguard and langet bearing an eagle and swastika, oakleaf pommel. Housed in its plated scabbard retaining both loose suspension rings. Near VGC. (£120 - £150)

966     German. WWI Demag fighting knife.
A scarce example of the combination bayonet and fighting knife. The double edged blade has Demag stamp on one side and “Gesetzlich geschutzt” on the other. Two piece “crank handle” steel grip. Complete with original metal scabbard, retaining leather belt loop. Grip green painted, scabbard black. Blade tip AF. (£60 - £80)
967     German “Zeppelin-Eckener” cap tally / ribbon.
Gold wire embroidered example with triangular eagle device either side of the name. Lettering now faint. Glue marks from museum display. (£40 - £60)

968     Austrian Academy 60 year bronze plaque & SA Sports armband.
Rectangular plaque, in relief a Greek Warrior’s helmeted head and top of shield with three lions behind over the text “Der Academische Karnter verein in Wien seinem verdienten mitgliede 1973-1933”. GC (approx. 13 x 9 cm) ... together with machine embroidered SA Sports armband with remains of RZM paper label. Glue marks from museum display. GC (2 items) (£40 - £60)

969     Austrian. 10 assorted Imperial medals.
10 medals in various conditions together with 1903 Vienna agricultural medal, SA cap eagle (one of three wires absent), Panzer collar skull, tinnie (lacking pin) etc. Glue marks from museum display. 970     Imperial German 1915 dated Officer’s Field Grey Tunic.
A good scarce 1910 simplified Prussian Officer’s field grey example, with turn back cuffs and tailored with waist pockets. Edged to the front with scarlet piping, which is repeated to the shoulder straps The left breast with provision for medals and now with the ribbon of the Iron Cross 2nd Class. Complete with field grey buttons. The interior lining unusually with issue stamps for 15th Army and dated 1915 Little age wear GC. (£400 - £500)
971     German. Imperial Colonial Badge.
A good scarce silvered example. Resting on an oak spry, an elephant in relief with palm tree behind. Arching over the elephant, a ribbon scroll “Sudsee Afrika Kiautschou” joining the oak spray either end. Brooch pin to reverse which has raised lettering “Ges. Geschützt Nr. 33992”. VGC (£50 - £100)
Approx. 8000 awarded. Individuals had to purchase their award from the sole maker, Karl Möbius in Berlin.

975     German. 2 x MP40 magazine pouches, one with loading tool.
One originally of sand coloured webbing, now blancoed black, with leather fittings. The reverse bears stamp code MP38u. 40 and Waffen Amt. Service wear otherwise, one leather loop detached at one end ... another similar but being Luftwaffe issue in blued canvas dated 1941 and complete with metal loading tool stamped MP38u. 40 and Waffen Amt. 976     German. 1942 dated SA dagger.
A good example, the blade etched “Alles für Deutschland” and bearing RZM logo and “M.7/66” (Carl Eickhorn of Solingen) over “1942”. Brown wooden grip inlaid with silvered eagle (sits slightly proud) and enamelled circular SA device. Housed in original brown painted nickel mounted scabbard with single suspension ring and RZM stamped clip. Blade has been sharpened, strap worn otherwise generally GC (£150 - £200)

A good field grey woollen four pocket Leutnant’s issue example with dark green collar, pink line to the collar patches and backing to the shoulder boards. To the left breast, a machine embroidered aluminium wire eagle and swastika (possibly reapplied); to the right pocket pleat provision for an award. External belt hooks. VGC (£200 - £300)
978     German. WWII Infantry Officer’s piped field service tunic.
A good field grey four pocket Leutnant’s private purchase example with dark green collar. White backing to the collar patches and shoulder boards and white piping around the collar, down the front and on the top of each turn back cuff. To the left breast, an aluminium wire eagle and swastika (possibly reapplied). Tailor’s label for Stieglitz & Haas, Kassel. Retains internal dagger strap with Assmann DRGM marked clip. 979     German. Signature of Dr. Goebbles on 1938 Visit to Italy programme.
Cream coloured card covered booklet with embossed eagle and swastika “Staatsbesuch des Führers und Reichskanzlers in Italien Mai, 1938. Einteilung der Sonderzüge I und II”. The inside cover with Goebbles pencilled signature with ink annotation “Firma autentica dell. Sig. Dott. Goebbels. Roma 1938.” The booklet lists every person on each railway carriage on this state visit to Italy including Hitler, Himmler, Goebbles, Frank, Sepp Dietrich and numerous other SS personnel from Gruppenführer Wolff down to the lowest Untersturmführer. Loosely enclosed is the pencil signature of Frauline Scholtz-Klink (known as “La Führerin”) Leader of the girls Hitler Youth ... also an ink signed photograph of Italian General R. Cadorna of the Cavallerya Savoia Regiment wearing Italian cavalry helmet and with his second in command, Bitossi, standing behind him. Slight foxing to cover and light crease. Generally GC (approx 5 x 7 inches) (£120 - £150)
Provenance. Acquired during the visit by Raymond Vignale, a waiter on this special train who joined it at the Italian border as part of the Italian service crew. He passed away a few years ago and bequeathed the booklet to the vendor.
980     German. Luftwaffe Flight Section NCO’s summer pattern cap.
A good example. The upper section of white cotton, the black cap band edged with yellow piping. To the front, an aluminium eagle and swastika; below, winged oakleaf wreath with cockade to centre. Black patent leather chinstrap supported by black buttons. Fibre peak, leather sweatband. Front section of sweatband slightly AF otherwise GC. (£350 - £400)
981     German Luftwaffe Engineer Officer’s summer pattern cap.
A good example of grey material. The welt of the crown and the black cap band edged with aluminium wire piping. To the front, an aluminium eagle and swastika set on cogwheel; below bullion winged oakleaf wreath with cockade to centre. Aluminium cap cords supported by seeded aluminium buttons. Leather sweatband slightly AF and restitched. Faint maker’s details to lining. Piping to front of crown worn and frayed otherwise generally GC. (£250 - £400)
982     German Afrika Korps M38 feldmutze (field service cap)
A good light brown cotton example bearing grey on brown BeVo eagle and swastika and light brown backed National cockade. Red cotton lining bears ink issue stamping etc. VGC (£100 - £150)
983     German. Third Reich cased Police 25 year Long Service Cross in gold.
A fine scarce example retaining original cornflower blue riband embroidered with police device; retains most original finish, slight discolouration in parts. Housed in fitted green case, the lid with gold tooled “25” in wreath. Box stained, ribbon with some stains, suspension ring misshapen otherwise GC. (£100 - £120)

A good blue card covered example commencing 7th October 1937 for “Ober.... Kemmann”, the last entry for 13th October 1939. (£50 - £60)
985     Adolf Hitler 1939 50th Birthday white porcelain plaque.
A good three and a half inch example edged with gilt line. The obverse bearing head of Hitler in high relief within the legend “Adolf Hitler - Unser Führer” “1889 - 20 April - 1939”; reverse bears s legend “Der Nürnberger Schuljugend gewidmet zum 20 April 1939 vom Oberburgermeister der (swastika) Stadt (swastika) de reichsparteitage” House in red flock lined card box. 986     German. WW2 Army Soldbuch and Herts of a soldier killed in Russia,
Both issued to a Lance Corporal Stretcher bearer in 9th Company, 503rd Infantry Regiment. The Soldbuch entries start in May 1940, the last in July. States he was issued “Neutral’s badge” (Red Cross armband). Killed in action in Russia 26th July 1941. Both with some service wear and both housed in rather worn brown leatherette pouch embossed “Wehrpass”. (£40 - £60)
987     German. Certificate for a pilot 1943 and Wound Badge 1942.
The first issued to Gefreiten Wolfgang Ernst on 16th September 1943. Slight stain along one side, light central crease GC ... the second for a Black Wound Badge to Unteroffizier Friedreich Segbers on 27th January 1942. Central fold, light staining, file holes. (£40 - £60)
988     German. 1939 Wound Badge in gold together with a silver example.
A good scarce solid example with needle pin. Finish rubbed on swastika and lower edge of helmet. 80% gilt remains ... together with a silver solid example, the reverse embossed L/53 (Hymmer & Co, Ludenscheid) and with needle pin. No finish remains. (2 items) (£60 - £80)

Introduced 23rd April 1935 for personnel of Flieger Gruppe Fassberg which became Kampfsgeschwader 154 later renumbered 157 and finally 27.

A small cloth covered album with 47 photographs, virtually all of various individuals in uniform, both Officers and OR’s. GC (£30 - £50)
994     German. Book of Red Cross casualties during WW2.
A green cloth covered book of telephone directory proportions produced 1966 from original wartime record. About half the entries have a photograph of the individual, each entry gives date of birth, district, date and pace of death. VGC (£30 - £50)
995     German. Kreta 1941 Paratrooper’s non portable award, cloth breast badge and Ersatz Soldbuch.
A good scarce set. Rectangular aluminium plaque with impressed narrow black border and applied gilt diving eagle and swastika. Incised black text “20.5.41 2.6.41” “In Anerkennung für besondere Verdienste im Einsatz Kreta verliche ich dieses Schild” with bottom right Student’s title “Der Kommandierende General des XI. Flieger-Korps”. Slight rubbing to gilt on eagle otherwise GC ... together with his official brown card covered “Soldbuch-Ersatz” to Feldwebel Eduard Niedermeier of Fallsch. Jag. Ers. 997     German. 1920’s Stalhelm tunic.
A very fine field grey four pocket tunic with grey Stalhemm buttons and turnback cuffs. The breast pockets with pleats, lower pockets slanted and without pleats. Belt hooks and button style belt hooks to the back. To the wearer’s right sleeve, an embroidered Bayern badge. VGC (£150 - £200)
998     German. 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class.
A good example. Set within a silver rim Maltese cross, an iron centre bearing swastika and 1939. Flat plain silver back bearing tapered pin and impressed “L/11” (Wilhelm Deumer, Ludenscheid). GC (£60 - £80)
999     German Third Reich etched blade parade bayonet and three others.
The first with 25 cm blade bearing etched panel “Fur Erinnerung an Meine Diengtzeit” (in memory of my military service) ornamented with oakleaves, steel helmet and eagle and swastika. “S” shaped quillon, replacement polished wood grip secured by British style brass rivets. Housed in steel scabbard (no blacking remains, throat screw absent. Associated knot. Blade near VGC .... second with plain 25 cm blade by E. Pack, “S” quillon, two piece black composition chequered grip and housed in its black painted scabbard complete with frog and associated knot GC ... third with plain 25 cm blade by P.S. of Solingen, two piece black composition chequered grip and housed in its black painted scabbard with associated knot GC ... fourth with plain 19 cm blade by WKC, two piece black composition chequered grip (chipped) and housed in its black painted scabbard. 1004     Imperial German Prussian “Pork Pie” style cap.
A good example of field grey material with scarlet band scarlet piping to the welt of the crown. This example retaining rare grey field band covering the scarlet band. The white cotton interior retains black ink stamp. Retaining both National and State Cockades. Minor age wear near VGC. (£150 - £200)
The Grey Field band was worn during front line duty.
1005     German. WW2 Luftwaffe single decal steel helmet.
A good raw edge example retaining Luftwaffe Eagle (90% present) to the blue painted skull. Complete with leather lining and chinstrap. GC (£180 - £220)
1006     German. WW2 Army single decal steel helmet.
This scarce example is of the Great War shape and is fitted with a WWII pattern leather lining and chin strap. The green painted skull, retains Army decal, (95% present). There is evidence of the National shield being removed during its working life. Remains in very clean condition. GC. (£200 - £300)
Vendor states this was brought back from Germany at the end of the war by his mother, an English Red Cross nurse.
