841     King Edwards Horse Trooper’s Tunic.
A rare example of khaki cloth with scarlet mohair lace to the cuff and collar. The latter retaining regimental collar badges; complete with brass buttons. Scarlet shoulder cords, the left with aiguillettes, terminating with metal tangs. The interior retains a paper issue label. Overall GC slight moth. (£200 - £300)
842     Royal Artillery 1902 Officer’s tunic.
A rare example of the high neck 1902 khaki service dress pattern tunic. To each cuff, a Crown and lace denoting the rank of Major. Plaited shoulder cords and complete with regimental pattern buttons. The collar is with bronze collar badges and “T” The interior retains tailor’s label of Hobson & Sons and ink name” Major T.H. Richardson. Tunic is with moth damage, to the skirt and lower pockets. Remains a good display item. GC (£180 - £220)
843     1914 Royal Regiment Infantry OR’s scarlet frock tunic.
This scarlet wool example with blue facings to the collar, cuffs and epaulets. Complete with brass General Service buttons and 1914 issue paper label to the interior. Unissued condition, little age wear (£30 - £50)
844     9th (Queen’s Royal Lancers) Trooper’s Tunic.
A good post 1901 example. Comprising: Plastron pattern tunic of dark blue woollen cloth with scarlet plastron to the front. Scarlet is repeated to the facings of the cuffs and collar. Yellow mohair epaulettes to the shoulders. Complete with King’s Crown regimental pattern brass buttons. The interior is with blanket lining GC ... Accompanied by yellow mohair cap lines ... 845     1912 Dublin Artillery Other Rank’s frock tunic.
A rare example of dark blue wool material with yellow mohair shoulder cords and Austrian knots to the cuffs. Complete with brass Royal Artillery buttons and paper issuing label to the interior stating Dublin RA. Unissued condition, a small rip hole can be found to the left elbow and left side. GC. This example of green cloth with seven double loops of flat black mohair lace, each mounted with a post 1953 anodised regimental button. Dark blue facings to the cuff, decorated with mohair cord and buttons The right sleeve with a bullion pipers badge. Overall good clean condition. (£40 - £60)
847     1918 West Somerset Yeomanry DSO Winner’s uniform.
A rare example worn by LT Col. C.R. Hayward DSO, MID who commanded the 12th Battalion Somerset Light Infantry (this being the dismounted Bn of the WSY). 1916 pattern service dress tunic, retaining regimental pattern collar badges and to the shoulder straps, brass WSY titles and Major’s Rank Crowns. To the left breast, medal ribands of DSO, 1914/15 Star, BWM. VM, MID. The right cuff with four blue embroidered inverted overseas chevrons. The interior with tailor’s label bearing ink name “Major C.R. Hayward 9.10.18”. Complete with overalls. Near VGC. Accompanied by a photograph of Lt Col Hayward wearing this uniform. Lt Col Hayward, was appointed Commanding Officer of the 12th Battalion with acting rank only. DSO published London Gazette 3rd June 1919. At the end of the war the 12th were serving on the Western Front as part of the 74th Division.
848     2nd Life Guards senior Officer’s scarlet tunic.
This example with blue velvet facings to the cuff and collar, each is with gold bullion embroidery of acorn and oak leaf devices. The rear skirts of the tunic also with bullion embroidery. Complete with post 1901 2nd Life Guard gilt buttons. The left breast with provision for four orders, also a medal bar. The interior has been replaced. Remains in clean condition, but with some dark staining to the front. (£200 - £400)
849     Grenadier Guards post 1953 Guardsman’s scarlet tunic.
A good example with dark blue facings to the cuffs, collar and epaulettes. The epaulettes are with white cotton embroidered devices. The collar with flaming grenade embroidery. Complete with all anodised buttons and lining to the interior. Scarlet fresh, minor service wear. GC (£80 - £120)
850     Late Victorian Boer War Period Officer’s Khaki Drill Doublet.
This is a very rare example, having been tailored with ten ammunition loops above each breast pocket. The tunic conforms closely to that illustrated in Dress Regulation 1900. Light weight cotton, tailored with two breast pockets, these with double button flaps. Stand and fall collar and the skirt is cut away to conform to Highland Regiment regulations. The shoulder straps bear holes to accommodate a rank star. Buttons are absent. Near VGC. (£200 - £300)

A rare example of scarlet cloth, with yellow facing to the collar and slash cuffs, these also mounted with gilt Regimental buttons. The collar with a single rank star and to the left shoulder a crimson shoulder cord. The interior with original silk lining, this with some age wear. Overall good clean condition, with a little age wear, three buttons absent. (£100 - £150)

A good post 1902 example. Dark blue fine wool material with scarlet facings to the collar and bullion knot decoration to the cuffs. The collar is edged with bullion and retains gold bullion flaming grenade devices. To the right sleeve bullion sergeant’s chevrons, bullion shoulder cords. 858     Victorian Yeomanry Officer’s Tunic
This Eton style tunic is of scarlet melton cloth, with scarlet facings to the collar. The latter edged with silver bullion lace. To each breast 14 double loops of silver cord, each mounted with a silvered plain ball button (2 absent). The reverse of the tunic is emblazoned with silver bullion cord which is arranged in crows foot loops. Fully cotton lining. Scarlet remains fresh, bullion with some age wear and fraying to parts. 869     106th Hazara Pioneers Indian Army Frontier Force style Officer tunic.
A scarce example worn by Lt. Col E.R.C. Wyatt DSO. Drab material, with scarlet facings to the collar and cuffs. To each breast five double rows of drab cord, with drop loop ends. Concealed hook and eye fastening, loops and olivettes. (one loose, one absent). Cotton lining and tailor’s label with faint ink name. Shoulder cords are now absent. Some fraying to the lace in parts and a little age wear. GC (£150 - £200)

This is a child’s size doublet of dark green cloth with light green piping to the collar, cuffs and shoulder straps. The latter with white embroidered “1 C L”. 872     Victorian Yeomanry Officer’s Hussar pattern tunic.
This green melton cloth tunic is edged with gold chain gimp. The green faced collar with gold bullion lace and to each breast six loops of gold chain gimp, with caps and drop fastenings with gold-worked olivettes. Plaited gold chain gimp shoulder cords, rank stars absent. The jacket is with age and service wear and has been relined. Stitching faults to the gimp cords. Bullion remains fresh ... Accompanied by Officer’s gold bullion cap lines. GC. (£150 - £200)
873     25th (Nova Scotia) Bn. Canadian Expeditionary Force Officer’s cap and tunic.
A scarce example of the Great War shoulder rank service dress tunic worn by Lieutenant Thomas Candlish Kirkwood MC. Comprising: 1916 pattern tunic, retaining to each sleeve Second Canadian Division formation sign viz. blue felt rectangle with gold bullion embroidered “CII”, also with a red felt triangle above. Complete with 25th CEF collar badges, shoulder titles and rank stars. The lining with tailor’s label bearing an ink name. ,... Soft “Floppy” style trench cap with correct thin brown leather chinstrap (broken) .... Sam Browne belt. Overall GC. (3 items) (£500 - £600)
Lieutenant Thomas Candlish Kirkwood Military Cross, volunteered for service in November 1914. He arrived in England in May 1915 and embarked for France with the rank of Lance Corporal on the 15th September 1915. His records show that on the 11th December 1915 he was reduced to the ranks for “Whilst on active service neglect of Duty”. Promoted to the rank of Sergeant in December 1917, he was selected for a Commission and proceeded to an OTC on the 31st December 1917. He was commissioned into the 17th Reserve Battalion and returned to France to rejoin the 25th Battalion. During early 1918 he was admitted into Hospital on three occasions, with a bout of Influenza, gas poisoning following a training accident and finally with a damaged shoulder following a fall from his bicycle. By July 1918, he was once more fit for active service in France and and saw action during the final push into Germany. His Military Cross, was awarded for an action on the 7th November 1918, the town Elouges was captured. This town was 9.5 miles west of Mons “For conspicuous gallantry and leadership”. It is also interesting to note that on this day Marshal Foch informed the German Armistice Delegates they may advance of a French outpost. With the war over Lt Kirkwood remained with the army of occupation and finally returned to Canada being discharged on the 29th January 1920. The Military Cross announcement appeared in the London Gazette on the 2nd April 1919.
874     Household Cavalry State Musician’s tunic
A fine example of rich crimson velvet with attached wings and streamers. Heavily embellished with one inch gold bullion lace decoration. Concealed hook and eye fastening to front, the St. Edward’s crowned EIIR cypher no longer present. Dark blue woollen lining. Colours and bullion remain good, with some age wear and stitching faults. (£100 - £200)
This pattern of tunic is worn by State trumpeters and musicians on state occasions in the presence of the Royal Family.
875     Foot Guards Officer’s frock coat.
A scarce example of dark blue melton cloth. To each breast, six double rows of black worsted lace, with pointed ends and sewn to allow the front to hang loose. Five of the rows are sewn with olivettes in the vertical position. The epaulettes are edged with black lace and have a single Garter Star. The stand up collar is with black lace and tracing braid. Full black cotton lining. Good clean condition GC. (£120 - £150)
876     Lothian & Berwickshire Imperial Yeomanry Sergeant’s Shell Jacket.
A scarce example of fine quality scarlet cloth, edged with gold lace and gilt seed buttons to the front. To the right sleeve large padded gold bullion Sergeant chevrons, with the a bullion Regimental device and post 1901 crown above. Quilted lining. Scarlet remains fresh, lining with stitching faults GC. (£50 - £100)
877     Warwickshire Yeomanry Officer’s short tailed coatee.
A good and rare example of the pattern of short-tailed coatee introduced to the Regiment in 1833. Scarlet melton cloth with white facings to the stand collar and cuffs. The cuffs decorated with silver lace and regimental buttons. To the front a double row of eight silvered ball pattern buttons embossed by a Crown with initials W.Y below. Five further buttons can be found to each cuff, and eight buttons complement the short tail. The silk lining is shot in parts, but remains good. Scarlet fresh, with minor stitching faults. GC . Complete with 34 buttons, Silver lace to the collar absent (£350 - £400)
This example is fitted with 16 silvered buttons to the front, which is unusual as the patter is normally found wit 14. This pattern of coatee was changed in 1856.
878     25th Bengal Native Infantry Officer’s coatee circa 1830.
A good and rare scarlet melton cloth example with yellow facings to the collar and cuffs, the tails are with white facings. To the front, a double row of ten silvered regimental buttons (2 absent). The button design is flat, with 25 to the centre, within a ring and wreath. To the cuffs, four loops of bullion lace each mounted with a regimental button (3 absent). The collar is with a double loop of silver lace. The shoulders are with eyes for epaulette lace attachments. The back has two regimental buttons to the crown of the tails and tailored with false bullion pocket flaps, again mounted with eight Regimental buttons. Retaining tail ornaments of the Garter Star with 25 to the centre, against a yellow ground. Silk lining now shot. Scarlet remains bright, little age wear GC. (£600 - £700)
The coatee is believed to date from 1829 to 1831 and has undergone some retailoring during it’s working life, buttons moved to accommodate a person with a larger chest. This may indicate that the coatee was purchased by a fellow Officer, following the retirement or death of the original Officer and the coatee sold within the Regiment.
879     Westmorland and Cumberland Yeomanry scarlet tunic.
An example of a Sergeant’s scarlet serge tunic introduced to the regiment in 1897 and worn until the start of the Great War in 1914. The collar is fitted with white gorget patches, with a central scarlet line. The shoulders would accommodate chains which are now absent. Complete with lozenge shaped silvered buttons. The right sleeve with impressive rank insignia of padded silver bullion Sergeant’s chevrons, with a Red Cross badge and large Victorian Crown above. The tunic is now with very heavy moth damage, not effecting the area of the sleeve rank, but should be classified as near relic condition. (£40 - £60)

A scarce grouping. Comprising: 1937 pattern battledress blouse, with white on red embroidered Poland titles to each shoulder. To the left arm bullion embroidered 2nd Corps Mermaid of Warsaw and Headquarters Command formation badges, to the right sleeve 8th Army bullion formation badge. To the left pocket a white metal 2nd Corps badge. To the left breast medal ribbons comprising: The Polish Army Medal, Monte Cassino Cross (18725), 1939/45 Star, Italy Star. Defence Medal and War Medal. The interior is with issue label ... Accompanied by a corresponding group of full size medals, with forwarding box ... A rare example of the pattern worn in the front line trenches of the Western Front. Khaki woollen material with stand and fall collar. Two top pleated pockets with buttoned triple pointed flaps. Two lower bag pockets these also with buttoned triple pointed flaps. External fixed false belt. and now with small General Service Corps leather economy buttons and replacement AIF brass buttons The interior with white internal reinforced pocket edging and field dressing pocket. Some minor repairs and patches, near VGC. (£200 - £250)
885     His Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentleman At Arms scarlet coatee.
A rare example of the pattern worn by the Officers of the Guard. Scarlet melton cloth, with dark blue velvet facings to the collar and cuffs. Both are richly embroidered with gold bullion at the collar with the addition of a silver bullion portcullis. This design can also be found to the Crowned tail ornaments. To the front a row of nine gilt buttons (one flat). The tails are with dark blue velvet turnbacks. Cotton lining. This example has to the left breast loops to accommodate medals Scarlet and bullion remain fresh. A little age wear. GC (£300 - £400)

886     Fife Mounted Rifles Trooper’s tunic.
Scarlet woollen cloth with dark blue piping to the collar edging and regimental pattern cuffs. The latter mounted with four silvered “FMR” buttons. Complete with a row of six regimental buttons to the front. To the back, again blue piping and regimental buttons. Blanket lining. This example has been retailored during its working life possibly due to an expanding waistline. A little staining to the scarlet, and a number of small moth holes. GC (£60 - £100)

A scarce example of the working frock tunic, with pockets to the waist. Scarlet woollen material, with blue facings to the collar and cuff, each with white piping, that can also be found to the epaulettes. Complete with brass General Service buttons post 1902. White blanket lining and issuing paper label 2. Somerset 1912. Unissued condition, slight age wear. (£50 - £75)

A fine and rare example of the short stable pattern undress jacket. Scarlet melton cloth with dark blue facings to the the collar and cuffs. The latter mounted with four silvered regimental buttons Two further buttons can be found to the silver twist cord epaulettes. The jacket is edged with flat silver lace; quilted crimson silk lining. Ink name label of “W.N. Waller”. Minor age wear, near VGC. (£250 - £300)

890     Bedfordshire Imperial Yeomanry Officer’s full dress tunic.
A rare example of the post 1901 plastron fronted tunic. Dark blue cloth with white facings to the collar and cuffs, each edged with gold bullion lace of Regimental pattern. To the plastron front, which is with a regimental pattern fold, can been seen white piping, which is repeated to the back. The rear skirt is decorated with false pocket flaps picked out with bullion cord. Complete with Regimental pattern buttons, depicting crowned crossed lances and entwined initials BIY. The shoulder cords are now absent. Quilted lining now part shot. Over all condition is good with minor age wear. (£200 - £300)

892     Royal Welch Fusiliers Volunteer Officer’s tunic
A good Officer’s scarlet 1880 pattern tunic attributed to Major R.J. Bracken MC. Dark blue facings to collar and cuffs. The collar is with silvered bullion flaming grenade collar badges. Plaited shoulder cords with Major rank insignia and bullion T. Complete with silvered regimental buttons, quilted lining and tailor’s label of F.W. Flight and ink name F.J. Bracken. Also complete with regimental pattern black silk neck ribbon. Scarlet remains fresh, bullion dulled to near black. (£120 - £150)
Major R.J. Bracken MC was commissioned into the Volunteer Force on the 25th April 1907 and on the creation of the Territorial Force, transferred to the 4th Battalion. During the Great War he was awarded the Military Cross and Mentioned in Despatches 1915. The 1920 Army list shows him serving with the 6th Carnarvonshire & Anglesey Battalion.
893     1st Royal Surrey Militia 1868 pattern Officer’s uniform.
A scarce example in scarlet melton cloth with dark blue facings to the cuff and collar. The collar is ornamented with silver lace and bears a single rank star denoting Lieutenant; the cuffs also with silver lace; silver shoulder cords (buttons absent). Complete with eight silvered buttons of regimental design to the front (to reverse, both skirt buttons no longer present). Quilted silk lining. Scarlet remains fresh. VGC Complete with dark blue overalls with narrow scarlet line to seam. (£250 - £300)
894     4th Regiment of Madras Native Infantry Officer’s tunic.
A scarce light weight scarlet example, conforming to the 1856 pattern, with blue facings to the collar and cuffs. Each is decorated with lace. Complete with gilt metal regimental buttons of the pattern introduced in 1833. These are embossed with battle honour, the Elephant and title IV Regt. To the interior the upper section of the lining has been removed. Also bears a part ink name “C.T. Hark....”. The scarlet and bullion lace have dulled, tear to upper left breast, shoulder cord removed and stitching faults to the back. Remains a good display item. (£250 - £300)
The tunic is attributed to Lieutenant Colonel Charles Thomas Harkness. First appointed in 1842, he was serving as a Captain in 1856; he transferred in 1869 to become Second In Command of the 7th Madras Native Infantry.
895     36th Foot (Herefordshire) Officer’s coatee.
A scarce regular line regiment example of scarlet melton cloth with green facings to the cuffs and collar, the latter, with two square loops of gold lace mounted with regimental buttons. To the front two rows of gilt regimental buttons, embossed with a Crowned 36. Each cuff is decorated with gold lace and regimental buttons. The tails are with white turn backs and tailored with false pocket flaps, each mounted with four buttons. Tail ornaments of a gold bullion flower head. The interior with cotton lining. Scarlet has dulled, now with heavy moth damage, and holes to the right sleeve. Two regimental buttons absent, 39 buttons present (£600 - £800)

896     3rd Dragoon Guards 1912 issue OR’s tunic.
Scarlet cloth with buff velvet facings to cuffs, collar and shoulder straps. Each cuff with gold cord decoration. To right sleeve 3rd Dragoon Guards arm badge of Prince of Wales’s plumes. Shoulder straps with 3DG brass titles. Tunic is complete with bi-metal collar badges and 3rd Carabiniers anodised buttons. The tunic retains original white wool half-lining and paper issue label for 1912. Scarlet fresh... Accompanied by buff Cavalry pattern waist belt with snake pattern clasp. (2 items)

897     32nd Searchlight Regiment Royal Artillery WW2 battledress Blouse.
A good scarce 1940 pattern blouse with issue label for 1943. Lieutenant’s rank stars on the shoulder straps; each sleeve bearing red printed on navy title “Royal Artillery” with printed Anti-aircraft formation sign, felt red/blue arm of service strip and silk embroidered (7th London) regimental formation sign below. Red lanyard on the wearer’s right arm. Some service wear with one or two small moth holes. GC (£150 - £200)
Only Officers wore the red lanyard. 32nd was the first searchlight unit to bring down an enemy plane on British soil; in 1940 it dazzled a Dornier causing it to crash in Suffolk.
898     Victorian Life Guards Officer’s mess Jacket.
A rare example of the stable pattern, scarlet cloth with dark blue velvet facings to the cuffs and collar. The plaited shoulder cords are now absent. The jacket is edged with gold lace of oak leaf and acorn design and blue line. The interior is with quilted silk lining and soft brown leather edging. Scarlet remains fresh, slight age wear (£100 - £120)
899     Bengal Lancers Victorian Officer’s mess jacket.
A good cavalry pattern of dark blue melton cloth edged with gold lace, seed buttons down the front, the stand collar and cuffs with red facings. The cuffs with padded gold lace inverted chevron and two buttons (BL superimposed on Crowned crossed lances). On each side of the back, a red line runs from the padded gold lace toggle up to the shoulder and down the arm. Quilted silk lining. Collar badges absent, small moth hole to one sleeve, light surface moth to scarlet cuffs. Bullion bright, GC. (£50 - £100)

Comprising: Two pairs of gilt metal Officer’s spurs. One pair with rounded ends, the other pair with square ends GC ... Infantry Pattern. Gold Bullion with crimson silk line (Slightly Dulled) ... This rare pair of buff leather pouches retain the ammunition loops to the interior, one with leather, the other with metal. The pouches are a matched pair and require whitening to be a good colour match. Slight age wear GC (£200 - £300)
914     Victorian early pattern pair of Slade Wallace ammunition pouches.
This rare pair of the first pattern buff leather pouches with plain fronts that lift to reveal the ammunition loops to the interior. Retaining side ammunition loops. The pouches are a matched pair and require whitening to be a good colour match. Retaining leather tangs and brass D rings. GC. (£200 - £250)
915     Boer War cavalry pattern rifle bucket.
This style of rifle bucket was carried during the Boer War and later in the Great War. Polished brown leather, deep enough to accommodate the rifle butt only. Retaining attachment straps. Leather remains in clean condition. (£80 - £120)
916     Great War equipment grenade vest.
A rare example of cotton khaki cloth, of similar material to kilt covers, tailored with six pockets, each with plain domed brass stud. Complete with cloth strap and and metal buckle. Some service wear GC. (£100 - £200)
