360     2nd East Anglian Regiment (Duchess of Gloucester’s Own Royal Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire) band drape.
A good scarce example of dark blue velvet, the lower edge pointed and ornamented with bullion tassels. To the centre, embroidered in gold and silver threads, the Sphinx on “Egypt” tablet, “Talavera” beneath and a scroll below “Duchess of Gloucester’s Own”. Above the Sphinx “X”, to the left “XLVII” and “LVIII” to the right. Complete with supporting bar with brass plated ball finials. Framed and glazed. One or two threads astray, otherwise GC. 361     7th (Queen’s Own) Hussars Officer’s pouch
An Officer’s post 1902 example. The pouch is with scarlet cloth backing with gold embroidered regimental device with the Hannovarian crown and edged with Russian braid. Complete with pocket and gilt metal loops. Bullion slightly dulled, Russian braid replaced. GC (£80 - £120)
362     Victorian Yeomanry Officer’s silver pouch and pouch belt.
A scarce late 19th century Officer’s example. The belt of silver lace with central green silk line, with silver hallmarked buckle tip and slide (Birmingham 1892).These with a engraved line engraved decoration. Complete with silvered prickers and chains. The silvered flap of the pouch is mounted with a gilt VR Cypher. Complete with leather backing and pocket. The silver bullion is now very dulled and one belt loop attachment to the pouch is absent. (£150 - £200)
363     Royal Horse Guards Officer’s half shabraque.
This a half section left side of a post 1901 example made of scarlet cloth The corners of the hind portion are pointed and those of the front portion rounded. It is double edged with orris and vellum lace with dark blue cloth dividing them. Each corner bears a bullion embroidered Crown with battle honours on laurel ornamented scrolls over a large Garter Star. The last honour being for the Boer War. Scarlet remains fresh, slight dulling to the bullion a good display item GC (£200 - £300)
364     89th Foot (2nd Royal Irish Fusiliers) 1830 Infantry pattern shoulder scales.
A good scarce Officer’s undress pair, each comprising a dark blue melton scale edged with gold lace (now silver colour), bearing a large gilt crescent and retaining gilt Regimental 89 button. Reverse of each with two brass straps stamped “John Jones Regent Street”. Dusty condition. GC (£50 - £100)
365     2nd Dragoon Guards (Queen’s Bays) Officer’s Pouch Belt and 1897 hallmarked silver Pouch.
A good clean example, the belt is of 2 1/2 inch Regimental pattern lace, edged with dark blue velvet and backed with blue leather. Mounted with gilt buckle tip and slide. Complete with pouch, the silver flap bearing hallmarks for Birmingham 1897 and mounted with a gilt Crowned VR Cypher. Complete with pocket. Overall near VGC. (£300 - £400)
366     6th Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers) Victorian Officer’s Undress Sabretache
A good scarce example, the black patent leather flap is mounted with a gilt metal die struck device of a Crowned oval inscribed “The Carabiniers”; crossed rifles across the oval which is surrounded by multi part scroll bearing Battle honours the last being “Afghanistan 1879-80”. Complete with pocket and cover. GC (£200 - £300)
367     Edwardian Heavy Cavalry Yeomanry Officer’s Pouch Belt and Pouch.
Believed to have been worn by an Officer of the Derbyshire Yeomanry. The belt is of gold lace with a dark blue velvet edging and red leather backing. Retaining original ornate buckle tip and slide, these of gilt metal and decorated with scrolling foliage and King Crowns. The pouch with a silver flap (hallmarked Birmingham 1906) is mounted with a gilt EVIIR cypher. Complete with pocket. Lace dulled GC. (£200 - £300)
368     2nd Life Guards Troopers front breast plate.
A regulation pattern with brass line edging and studs. Leather lined with clear issue stamp for the 2nd Life Guards. Good condition but has been lacquered ... Accompanied by a pair of shoulder straps. GC (£75 - £150)
369     Pembroke Yeomanry Officer’s Pouch and Pouch Belt.
A very good clean example. Red leather backed silver lace belt with plain silvered buckle tip and slide. The pouch with a dark blue velvet face embroidered with Prince of Wales Plumes and edged with silver lace. Complete with pocket and silvered belt loops VGC. (£150 - £200)

The pouch with a silver plated flap, the edge with deep engraved decoration of regimental pattern; the box is of dark blue leather with two silver bullion lines and is complete with both floriated ends and belt loops. The silver lace design is similar to that used by the Royal Artillery.
371     3rd Bn Queen’s Surrey Regiment Music stand drape.
A good scarce Royal Blue velvet example with bullion fringe. To the centre, a large padded bullion embroidered Regimental device surmounted by an Elizabeth II Crown and below title scroll “3 Queen’s Surrey”. A little service wear, bullion to device remains bright. (£80 - £120)
372     6th Lancashire Volunteer Artillery Victorian Officer’s sabretache.
A most splendid and rare attributed example. The black cloth face edged with two inch silver lace of artillery pattern; to the centre, in high relief, finely detailed Royal Arms embroidered in silver wire thread, the central shield in gold and coloured silk threads, applied silver lion’s mask. Beneath the Royal Arms, a padded crimson velvet scroll “Sixth” with large silver wire sprays of laurel and oak below. Beneath the sprays, an applied silver gun with mounted wheel resting on a padded tri-part crimson velvet scroll inscribed “Lancashire Volunteer Artillery”. Complete with three “D” shaped suspension rings, leather wallet to the reverse and foul weather cover. VGC Housed in shaped japanned storage tin bearing brass Hobson & Sons shield and brass plate engraved “Capt. WW. Gossage 6th Lancashire V.A.”. (£500 - £600)
William Winwood Gossage born 1863 at Widnes, son of Frederick Herbert Gossage owner of the largest soap works in England. Commission Captain 6th Lancashire Artillery Volunteer Corps at Widnes Drill Hall 3rd October 1888; 1901 elected Mayor of Widnes and Hon. Major; 7th January 1903 promoted Major; promoted Lt.Col. and awarded Volunteer Decoration in 1904; Honorary Colonel 22nd December 1905. 25th October 1908 made Hon. Colonel 0f 3rd (West Lancashire) Brigade and retired. The lot is accompanied by a facsimile photograph of Gossage as Mayor and several photocopied records regarding his life and career.
373     Cavalry Officer’s Edward VII waist belt.
A fine example of two inch gold lace lined with black Morocco and complete with rich seeded gilt rectangular plate with burnished edges mounted with silver crowned EVIIR Cypher within oak sprays bearing a scroll to the base inscribed “Dieu et mon Droit”. Minor service wear, generally VGC. (£80 - £120)

374     Household Cavalry State trumpeter’s trumpet cords
A rare set of cords Pale blue with crimson and yellow. To each end an elongated tassel with fringe, enclosed within a gold bullion net and fringe. Used condition GC. (£30 - £60)
375     Household Cavalry Ceremonial trumpet banner
A magnificent and extremely scarce Elizabeth II example. Ground of crimson damask silk with gold and silver embroidery depicting the Royal Arms to centre flanked by two winged angels and the whole encircled by floral inlaid bullion, the Crown flanked by “E” and “R”. To each corner is a bullion Union device incorporating the Rose of England, the Thistle of Scotland the Shamrock of Ireland. The banner is edged with fine gold twisted thread fringe. Remains in fine condition, bullion bright. (£300 - £500)
376     Royal Navy Victorian Full Dress Epaulettes of a Secretary to an Admiral of the Fleet.
An extremely rare and fine quality pair of gold bullion epaulettes. The gold bullion strap is mounted with a Bullion Victorian Crown and Three Stars. The strap is edged with silver lace and the pearl bullion crescent supports fine twist wire tassels. The underside with the tailor’s details of F. Highatt of Gosport. Near VGC Bullion Bright. One brass attachment strap detached. Housed in a Victorian metal storage tin. This with an engraved name plate “Capt R.A.J. Montgomerie RN CB. (£200 - £300)
This pattern of epaulette is illustrated in the 1893 Royal Navy Dress Regulation. Captain Montgomerie is shown as Captain of the Battleship Prince George in 1901.
377     Royal Navy pair of Rear Admiral’s full dress epaulettes
A fine and rare pair of fine quality gilt lace epaulettes with fine twist gilt wire tassels. Within the crescent, a silver bullion star, crossed sword and baton (silver metal) and post 1901 Crown denoting Rear Admiral. The underside is with padded blue silk, bearing gilt tooled tailor’s details of Gillott & Hasell of New Burlington Street W. Complete with original storage tin with tailor’s details. Bullion bright and fresh. (£150 - £200)

A good and scarce example comprising of front and back nickel silver plates complete with gilt brass shoulder scales. The front plate is edged with gilt brass and studs. The centre bears a high comb and complete with gilt spring clip. The back plate is again with gilt brass edging and studs. The shoulder strap attachments bear a pair of silvered lion’s head boss’s and the straps are with silvered floral studs. Lining of red leather and velvet edging of regimental pattern. Little service and age wear to the leather, the exterior is in near Parade Condition. GC (£600 - £1,000)
379     Life Guards Officer’s Cuirass
A very fine example, both front and back plates are of nickel silver ornamented with brass studs. Each plate is bound with 1/4 inch black leather and dark blue velvet edging. Complete with gilt brass shoulder scales of regimental pattern, the ends section device is unusual in being of silvered metal and are with black leather, velvet and bullion. Red leather lining to the interior. Interior leather with a little service wear, exterior in near Parade condition (£600 - £1,000)

Both front and back plate are nickel plated, each plate is edged with a brass band and ornamented with brass studs. Lining to the front and back plate of leather. Complete with brass shoulder scales. Near VGC, service wear to the interior leather. Contained in issue storage bag. (£350 - £400)

382     Mid 19th Century Yeomanry Officer’s Sword Belt.
This example of red leather, edged with silver wire lines and with a wavy silver line to the centre. Complete with sword slings and silvered lion’s mask billets. Lions masks are repeated to the belt clasp. Leather remains supple, silver bright, little age wear. Belt width 1 inch (£40 - £60)
383     Georgian Officer’s Scarlet Pouch.
The flap of this example is of scarlet cloth, edged with a line of gold bullion. To the centre a Crowned GR Cypher, reversed and interlaced. Retaining zinc lined pocket, which is mounted with gilt metal belt loops (1 A/F). The reverse of the pouch with heavy moth damage, the front flap with some surface moth traces. Scarlet slightly dulled. (£100 - £200)
384     Foot Guards Officer’s State Shoulder Sash.
A rare pre 1902 example of gold and crimson woven material with two large basket worked tassels. Some service wear and a little dulling. GC (£80 - £120)
In 1902 the State Waist Sash was introduced for use by the Foot Guard Regiments.

A scarce General Officer’s example. Gold net with two crimson silk stripes. Two long round bullion tassels to the left side, with 9 inch drop. Lined in morocco leather. Slight dulling. GC (£60 - £100)

A good example of black over scarlet horse hair emerging from a silvered boss, which is in the style of an Officer’s astrakhan plume holder. Complete with black leather strap and white metal buckles. Little age wear. GC (£40 - £60)

389     Hyderabad Contingent Lancers Victorian Officer’s pouch.
A fine and scarce late 19th century example. The silver plated flap is edged with deep palm leaf engraving. Mounted to the centre, gilt Crowned HCL cypher superimposed on a brace of crossed lances; the box is of black grained leather with two gold bullion lines and is complete with both floriated ends and plain belt loops. Minor service wear, fixing tongue and stud AF. GC (£100 - £120)
390     53rd Bengal Native Infantry 1830 pattern Officer’s shoulder scales.
A good scarce pair. Each comprising a dark blue melton scale bearing a large rich fire gilt crescent and edged with three quarter inch gold lace and retains gilt regimental button (“53” within strap “Regiment” resting in wreath). Lace dull, cloth melton lining absent to reverse of one, within one crescent a section of cloth replaced. (£60 - £80)
