| 922     Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm Pilots Log Books. An interesting selection of four post WW2 log books recording the flying career of Flt Lt R.J. Sturley, who started flying with the Royal Navy, before transferring to the RAF. Covering the period September 1955 to August 1967. The logs are neatly filled in and including Provest, Vampire, Gannet, Fifefly, conversion to rotary wing helicopters and then onto Wessex and Whirlwind. GC. (£100 - £200) |

| 926     Royal Flying Corps Other Ranks Field Service Cap. A scarce example of the ORs khaki serge side cap fitted with brass RFC badge and General Service buttons. The interior with silver grey cloth sweatband and retaining both interior hooks for the attachment of a leather chinstrap (strap absent). Also with WD issue stamp. Heavy service wear and the opposite side to the badge are two sizeable moth holes and one smaller hole. (£80 - £120) |

| 928     WW2 Royal Air Force 1944 Irvin Flying Jacket A good clean large example, with a two panel back. The interior with short brown fur and rare original label bearing the date 1944. Complete with original working zips and pullers all retaining their extension leather tags. Leather remains supple, some minor crazing, one small patch to the shoulder otherwise. GC. (£250 - £300) |

(£150 - £250) The formation of the Royal Flying Corps was authorised on 13th April 1912. On 1st April 1918 it merged with the RNAS to form the Royal Air Force under the command of Lieut. General Sir David Henderson KCB, KCVO, DSO. |
| 930     Royal Flying Corps pilots gilt mess dress wings. A fine and rare pair of hollow construction with flat backplate by J & Co (Jennens). Stout brooch pin to reverse. VGC (approx 53 mm wide) (£150 - £200) Vendor believes these were given by Victoria Cross winner Captain (later Air Commodore) Freddy West VC MC to his wife Winifred to wear as a brooch after the war. |
