| 936     A Scottish silver mounted skein dhu. An attractive example of superior quality bearing Edinburgh hallmarks for 1971; the clipped back highly polished stainless steel blade mounted into a black bog oak handle of interlaced design surmounted by silver pommel containing a foiled citrine. Housed in black leather sheath with silver mounts bearing Celtic style interlaced design. Few light marks to blade. VGC (£120 - £150) |
| 937     French Napoleonic Battle of Waterloo pattern Cuirassiers sword. Single edged straight blade, with makers engraved name and dated 1816 to the back of the blade. Brass four bar open guard with leather covered grip and twist wire binding. Housed in its polished steel scabbard with two loose suspension rings. The blade remains in clean condition, some surface rust to the scabbard. GC (£350 - £400) This pattern of sword was used by the Cuirassier through out the Napoleonic war and faced the British at the field of Waterloo |
| 938     French model 1822 Officers Light Cavalry Sabre A rare single-edged curved blade example with arsenal marks and dated 1851. Three brass bar open hilt decorated with floral head motifs and with hard wood ring turned grip. Housed in steel scabbard with two loose ring fittings. Blade is with edge knocks, brass dulled and staining to scabbard. GC. (£300 - £400) |
| 939     Victorian 5th Lancers Officers Fighting Sword. An example of the 1821 Light Cavalry pattern. The blade to this example, with a single etched panel depicting crossed lances and title 5th Lancers. The hilt of regulation pattern, with three bar open guard and shagreen grip. Housed in steel scabbard with black patina. The sword remains in good condition, but the blade shows evidence of having been cleaned. (£150 - £200) |
| 940     Victorian 6th (Inniskilling) Dragon Guards Officers sword. A good pre 1901 heavy cavalry pattern. The single edged slightly curved blade is with etched to the obverse with a Crowned reverse VR cypher and initials reverse entwined RMA. The reverse etched in detail with the regimental device and title 6th Inniskilling Dragoons. Also with Battle Honours the last being Balaklava The blade with cutlers details of Austin & Oaker of London. Steel guard of regulation pattern with shagreen grip with twist wire binding. Housed in steel scabbard with two loose rings. Blade remains in very good condition. Hilt and scabbard GC. (£350 - £400) |

| 942     WW1 / WW2 Pattern Royal Navy Officer's sword. A good post 1901 example, the blade etched with Royal Arms and crowned fouled anchor. The solid gilt metal guard emblazoned with a crowned fouled anchor. White shagreen grip surmounted by a gilt metal lions head pommel. Housed in original black leather and gilt mounted scabbard fitted with two loose rings; complete with bullion sword knot. Etching to blade remains clear, blade with some rusting and surface pitting, spots, crease to the scabbard. GC (£150 - £200) |

A good mid 19th century example of a Light Infantry pattern, the blade etched with Crown and strung bugle and Lancashire Rifle Volunteers. The open guard bears a crowned strung bugle device; shagreen grip with twist wire binding. Housed in a polished steel scabbard fitted with two loose rings. Blade with staining, etching remains clear, the hilt and scabbard have been polished GC. (£160 - £200) |
| 944     Victorian Queens Own Royal Rifles, Irish Rifle Volunteer Officers Sword. A good example, been a slight variation on the Regulation Rifle Regiment pattern. The slightly curved single edge blade to the obverse with a single etched panel with title Queens Own Royal Rifles. and cutlers details of Moore & Co 14 St James London. The reverse again with a single panel etched with a strung bugle device. The hilt with a standard open bar guard, but incorporating a flat oval panel engraved with a crowned strung bugle device. Shagreen grip with twist wire binding. Housed in scabbard. Overall GC, blade in clean bright condition. (£300 - £400) |
| 945     1st VB Royal West Kent Regiment Cyclist Section Edwardian presentation sword. A very fine example of Artillery pattern with three bar open guard and shagreen grip. The obverse of the blade bears an EVIIR Cypher and the following inscription <I>Presented by the members of the Cyclist Company (1 and 2 Sections) and the Sergeants of A.B. and F. Companies of the 1st V.B. The Queens Own Royal West Kent Regt) March 14th 1905</I>. The reverse of the blade again with a Royal Cypher and 3/4 length floral decoration. Housed in its metal scabbard. VGC (£600 - £700) HQ at Tunbridge. Cyclist Company was added to the 1st VB in 1900. |
| 946     WW1 Irish Guards Officers sword. A scarce example retailed through Edward Smith of London. The blade is etched with the Crowned regimental device of the Order of St Patrick and decorated with a GvR Crowned cypher. Also with the original owners initials of S.R.P. The regimental device can also be found in the open guard of the hilt. Housed in brown leather field service scabbard and complete with leather knot. Little staining and rusting to the blade, particularly at the point, not effecting the etched decoration. Overall good clean condition (£200 - £300) |

The reverse with crowned ER VII cypher. Shagreen grip with twist wire binding. Housed in brown leather field service scabbard. Minor staining and surface pitting to the blade and wear to scabbard otherwise GC. (£160 - £200) |
| 948     WW2 Period Japanese Police Sword. A good clean example. A good quality straight blade, with fuller. The hilt of the regulation pattern, gilt folding shell guard, with shagreen grip, this in turn with twist wire binding. The pommel is decorated with a five petal flow, indicating Police Service. Housed in lacquered simulated shagreen scabbard. This fitted with two loose rings. GC. (£200 - £300) |
| 954     Napoleonic Period British Military Flintlock Cavalry Pistol. A good and scarce example. The plain smooth 16 bore barrel, with proof and acceptance stamps. Steel swivel ram rod. The flat plate lock with stepped tang, marked Tower and also a Crowned GR Cypher. Ringed neck cock and waterproof pan. Plain walnut full stocked woodwork., with brass furniture comprising:, forend, trigger guard, side plate and heavy stepped butt cap. Good condition, with a period working repair to the ram rod opening, hammer possible later replacement. (£600 - £1,000) |
| 955     Crimea War Russian military issue Percussion Musket A good and rare example of the pattern commonly used by the Russian Army during the Crimean War. Plain steel barrel. The percussion back action lock is dated 1849 and bears makers details. Three brass barrel bands held in place by spring retaining clips. Brass trigger guard and heavy brass butt plate clearly stamped with the Imperial Eagle and Crown. The stock with faint circular makers stamp. Complete with steel ramrod. GC, woodwork repolished to a rich colour.... Accompanied by a steel triangular socket bayonet, of correct pattern, scabbard absent. (2 items) (£300 - £500) |

| 957     1853 Crimean War pattern three band Enfield Rifle. A good clean example of this second model rifle. The rifled barrel with lift up leaf sight and military proof marks. The standard pattern lock, dated 1856 over Tower and Crowned VR to the tang. (faint) The barrel held in place by three barrel bands, positioned and held by spring clips. Walnut stock, brass furniture, butt plate bearing Y 329 . Stock with Tower issue stamp and stamped with the stock setters name of W Farquhar. Complete with original jag ended ramrod, and sling swivels. Fine grained woodwork now repolished to a rich honey colour. GC Steel polished ... Accompanied by a 1853 pattern socket bayonet. now fitted with a replacement scabbard. GC (2 items) (£300 - £500) This pattern of Enfield was also heavily used during the American Civil War. |

The lock with ring neck cock, and the plate bearing EIC Lion and dated 1810. to the lock tang. Full stock, with brass furniture, to include butt plate, trigger guard and three ramrod pipes. | 959     Early 19th Century Belgium Military Pattern Flintlock Musket. A good clean example, with plain steel polished barrel, with Leige proof marks. Flat lock plate dated 43. Brass flash pan with heavy steel frizzen spring and frizzen. Ring neck cock, again dated 43. Three steel barrel bands retained by steel locking pins. Steel furniture with heavy butt plate. Original steel ram rod. GC, steel a dull patina. All steel parts bear the number 43. (£450 - £500) |
| 960     American US Civil War Period Cavalry Carbine. An scarce example of the breech loading carbine, by Richardson and Overman, used by troops of both the North and South during the American Civil War. 14 Bore plain steel barrel, which pushes forward and drops on a steel underlever action, which forms the trigger guard. Plain steel body and breech with side mounted percussion nipple. Back action lock. stamped Manufactd by Richardson and Overman Philada also Gallagers patent July 13 1860. Wooden stock, inlaid with steel rectangular shaped patch box, also with heavily shaped steel butt plate. GC. some original colouring remains. (£500 - £700) |
| 961     Royal Gloucestershire Hussars Snider Enfield Cavalry carbine. A scarce example, the lock dated Enfield 1859 and Crowned VR cypher. Brass trigger guard and butt plate, this with issue stamps :GCY, also with provision for cleaning kit. The half stock with issue marks and the barrel with proof stamps. Overall appearance is good, but now with some pitting to the barrel and knocks to the woodwork. The latter retaining a good colour (£200 - £300) |
