A silver plated example the strap section of overlapping scales, the shell with raised crescent enclosing script initials, QO. | 421     Royal Irish Regiment post 2006 Regimental Mascot (Irish Wolfhound) coat / shabraque. A rare example of green woollen cloth, edged with lines of gold lace. The hide quarters are mounted with a silver bullion regimental device set on the colours of the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross ribbon. Simulated leather strap attachments. VGC (£80 - £120) Formed 1st July 1992 from Royal Irish Rangers (1st Bn) and Ulster Defence Regiment (2nd Bn). Regiment uniquely awarded the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross by HM Queen Elizabeth in 2006. |
| 422     Life Guards post 1901 Officers gold waist belt and plate. A splendid example of one and three quarter inch oak leaf pattern gold lace lined with black Morocco retaining seeded gilt rectangular plate, mounted with crowned Collar of the Order of the Garter mounted with silver Garter Star, the Garter pierced and set on a blue enamel ground, the central Cross of St. George in red translucent enamel. On either side of the collar the letters L.G. reversed and intertwined. Below the letters, a scroll upon a twig of laurel on one side inscribed Peninsula, on the other Waterloo. | 432     WW1 Dated Trench Lantern collapsible tin body with glazed side sections. The bottom with holder to accommodate a candle. The lantern folds to fit into a rectangular case with a lift off lid secured by a leather strap (broken) which acts as a carrying handle. Two and a quarter inch gold lace belt with central white silk line, buff Morocco lined, retaining rectangular seeded gilt plate. The plate mounted with silver oak wreath; within the wreath, on crossed carbines, a crowned circlet Hampshire Yeomanrywith rose to centre; scroll Carabiniers across the butts.
