912     1918 Imperial German Air Service Observers Flying Log Book.
A rare example, retaining original blue card cover with title Bordguch and ink name. The log records the flights of U. Dietrich, who started his training in July 1918. The first entry is for to the 31st July 1918 and the last flight is the 9th November A good number of ink inscriptions, with the last page dated 22nd November possibly a report. ... The log is accompanied by an ID card for the Flieger Schule Nordhausen. ... Also tow postcard photographs, one wearing flying helmet and goggles. VGC (4 items) (£250 - £300)
913     Selection of WW1 RFC, RNAS, RAF Photographs.
An interesting selection of mostly postcard size photographic portrait studies, plus commercial and small snap shot size images. Approx 44 of WW1 interest with a further 18 of inter war and WW2 RAF interest. Images clear overall GC. (Approx 62 items) (£40 - £60)
914     WW2 RAF Aircrew issue Silk Inner Flying Gloves.
A scarce pair of white silk. Have been worn. ... Accompanied by a silk Escape Map Colour printed double side. German Poland Hungary. Sheet E and F VGC. (2 items) (£40 - £60)
915     WWI Royal Flying Corps style Flying Helmet.
Tan brown leather with blanket lining to the interior. Remains in clean condition, leather supple. (£50 - £75)
916     WW2 RAF Lancaster Rear Gunner’s Log Book.
This example was compiled by Sergeant A Bell a rear Gunner with 195 Squadron. The first entry of the log is the 25th August 1944 with training and the last entry is the 14th July 1945. Some service wear, a small amount of pen child’s scribble to a few pages. (£50 - £100)
Sergeant A Bell began training in August 1944, with posting to 21 OTU Wellingtons and then to 1651 HCU. He was posted to 195 Squadron in May 1945, his first trip being on the 8th May Operation Manner to Rotterdam, this being one of the Food drop operations to the starving Dutch people. The log records Operation Exodus the return of POW’s and a number sight seeing trips to the big German Cities.
917     WW1 1918 Royal Air Force Swagger Stick.
A scarce early example. The nickel thimble pattern top is embossed with a Officer style cap badge and initials below. Complete with original bamboo shaft. Minor splits to the top GC. (£40 - £60)
The RAF swagger stick is more common found with a ball top and black shaft.
