605     1881 Medal for 21st Anniversary of the Volunteer Movement.
A good two and a half inch bronze example by Noel Paton and Neil Macphail. The obverse bearing the bust of Her Majesty within the legend “XXI Anniversary of the Volunteer Movement MDCCCL I”; reverse in high relief with winged warrior, three mediaeval spearmen at the ready (one with Rose of England on his shield, the next with Thistle, the last with Shamrock), seated mother and children etc. with legend of the Movement “Pro aris et Focis”. Housed in original purple silk and velvet lined. VGC (£40 - £60)
606     Post Office Rifles 1918 hallmarked silver presentation cigarette box.
A good cedar lined rectangular example bearing London 1918 hallmarks. The lid inscribed “Captain T.W. Porter, MC with best wishes from the Officers of the Post Office Rifles, February 1919”/ One or two minor dents. GC (£50 - £75)
Lieut. Porter was promoted to Acting Captain 1st June 1916.
607     King’s Dragoon Guards 1901 hallmarked silver Boer War regimental brooch.
A very fine hollow silver gilt example by MB, bearing Birmingham hallmarks for 1899. Mounted on an ornate quoit, a gilt double headed eagle resting on a scroll inscribed “King’s Dragoon Guards”. Brooch pin to reverse. Housed in its original case. Brooch VGC, case scuffed. (£60 - £100)
This Austrian Eagle badge was adopted in respect for HIM Emperor Franz Joseph was appointed Colonel in Chief of the Regiment in March 1896.
608     Royal Marines Officer’s Lady’s belt worn at Levées and regimental balls.
A fine and scarce example, each half of the gilt filigree buckle mounted with silvered Globe and laurels. Gold lace belt lined in dark green kid leather. One mount detached but present. GC (£30 - £50)

628     1930’s Highland Officer Table Cigarette lighter.
The lighter depicts a full length Highland Officer wearing scarlet doublet and bonnet and to his hands his broadsword. His head is hinged to Rommel the lighter and to the base is a match striker. Made of painted alloy, the colours are with a subdued effect. Retaining approx 90% of original painted finish. GC. (£50 - £100)

This Para, is seen wearing DPM jacket and trousers, 58 pattern webbing holding a Sterling sub machine gun. at the ready moving forward. 632     WW2 British Red Cross “Invalid Comforts” POW Parcel Box
A rare example of the cardboard box despatched to British POW’s by the British Red Cross. Details are printed to the lid. This with additional stamping “Invalid Diet Supplement”. There is also a red stamp “Bermondsey”, presumably the branch that packed the parcel. The interior with original shredded packing material. The printing to the lid is clear Little age and service wear GC. (£80 - £120)
633     Royal Navy HMS Anson WW2 Period Ships Tampion.
This is a rare example made of heavy copper with rope edge. To the centre is the ships crest. Approx 7 inch diameter with three screw holes Dull untouched condition. (£200 - £300)
634     Victorian 5th Foot (Northumberland Fusiliers) Desk Ink nib wipe.
An unusual example made from two Other Rank’s glengarry badges. Weighted at the bottom, with a nib wipe between the flaming grenades. GC. (£40 - £60)

636     St Buryan Cornwall Boer War Souvenir Beaker.
This white pottery beaker is decorated to the front, with a brown transfer of Queen Victoria “War in South Africa Added to the Empire 1900” The reverse again in brown transfer St Buryan Cornwall with the Arms of Cornwall. GC small hairline crack. (£30 - £50)

638     Gold wristwatch bearing an armorial crest.
A very fine 9 carat gold, 15 jewel Swiss made example bearing gold import marks for London 1919. White enamel face and second hand at the 6 o’clock position. The reverse engraved with an Armorial Crest of a Lion and Cornet, with the motto “Droit Et Loyal”. Two small marks to the case otherwise VGC ... The watch is accompanied by a Seal, again with armorial crest and a selection of 9 Sporting Hockey Medals. Two are named to L.G. Dudley 1905/1906 of the 6th Jats, these being awarded to Captain Leonard Grey Dudley who was Killed in Action on the 24th November 1914 whilst serving with the 6th Jats. The other medals, of which one is engraved J.L.G Dudley, are for John Leonard Grey Dudley who served with the Royal Jat Light Infantry and later Royal Artillery and was awarded the OBE for services in Malaya The overall condition is good. (£250 - £300)
The crest is believed to be a Branch of the Earl’s of Dudley, the engraved device appears on part of the Earl’s Arms.

640     Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, waist belt clasp/ashtray post 1945.
The clasp of 1855 other ranks pattern, the Castle of Enniskillen in the centre with “Inniskilling” on the circle; the two parts now fused together and forming the front elevation of a semi-elliptical ashtry, all in silver plate. VGC. (£20 - £30)

1st July 1968, The Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, The Royal Ulster Rifles and The Royal Irish Fusiliers amalgamated to form The Royal Irish Rangers who in turn amalgamated with The Ulster Defence Regiment on 1st July 1992 to from The Royal Irish Regiment.

A scarce George VI Period example. Black velvet, embroidered to the centre a large regimental device in gold bullion, incorporating Battle Honours of the Regiment, the last being Somme 1918. Edged with gold lace. Little service wear, bullion fresh. (£50 - £100)
645     Blues and Royals, Household Cavalry Music stand drape.
A very good scarce example. Royal Blue velvet with bullion fringe. To the centre, a large bullion embroidered Crowned Garter with Eagle to centre on a crimson velvet ground.; beneath the Garter, a crimson velvet scroll inscribed “The Blues and Royals”. A little service wear VGC (£125 - £150)
The eagle is borne by the Regiment to commemorate the Royal Dragoons capture of the French standard of the 105th Regiment of the Line at Waterloo by Captain Clark (later Lieutenant General Sir Alexander Kennedy Clarke-Kennedy) and Corporal Styles. Royal Horse Guards amalgamated with the 1st Royal Dragoons in 1969 to form the Blues and Royals.
646     Royal Irish Rangers Presentation Pipe Banner.
A rare double sided example, of green material, edged with gold bullion tassels. To the centre an silver and bullion embroidered regimental badge, surmounted by an EIIR Crown. To one side to each corner is embroidered additional regimental badges of the Royal Signals, REME, Army Catering Corps and Pay Corps, with bullion embroidered presentation “Presented by members of these Corps Tidworth 1981”. The device to the reverse with “II” to the corner. Bullion remains fresh GC. (£100 - £200)

648     Royal Military College Camberley Goss Crested Model of a Welsh Jack.
This large jack, is complete with separate lid, this being with handle. To the front a bright colour transfer of the College crest and title. To the base the W.H. Goss back stamp and title “Model of Welsh Jack”. The lid also with Goss transfer. Height with lid approx 5 inches. (£30 - £60)

A good quality silver inkwell bearing hallmarks for Birmingham 1916, the lid mounted with the regimental badge of the London Rifle Brigade. Complete with white china lining. Little polished/ Diameter of round base 2 3/4 inches. (£40 - £60)
652     Christmas 1914 Princess Mary silver plated gift tin.
This example has been professionally contemporary silver plated and the interior has been divided into two sections. Lined in rich dark blue velvet and similar coloured silk to the interior lid, this with gold tooled trade mark of an Edinburgh Goldsmith. Most of the silver plating remains, but has been polished and base metal coming through the high points. (£40 - £60)
653     Irish Guards 1915 silver mounted Officer’s Stick
A very fine quality example with silver mushroom shaped top bearing London hallmarks for 1915. The top engraved with the Order of St Patrick device and stylised initials “J.O’ to the side. The rich coloured wooden shaft terminates with a polished horn ferrule. Near VGC, with a small professional repair to the silver. (£80 - £120)

A good silver plated example of the regulation pattern by Boosey & Hawkes London, with WD Arrow and 1940 issue stamp. This example with the additional engraving of a Crowned Strung Bugle device. Complete with mouth piece. Little age wear GC. (£30 - £60)
655     Norfolk Regiment 1938 Presentation Silver Salver
This salver is decorated to the centre with the regimental badge of the Norfolk Regiment, flanked by “K.R.R.C. 20th April 1938” These are in turn surrounded by engraved signatures. A scalloped edge with bead decoration and the tray is raised on four ball and claw feet. Silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1937. VGC diameter 8 inches (£80 - £120)

660     French Heavy Cavalry 19th century Cuirassier’s Cuirass.
The breastplate is of heavy polished steel with five brass studs to the front. Backplate complete with brass studs and shoulder straps of leather with brass interlinked rings also plain brass tang. To the waist a restored leather waist belt and buckle. The steel has been restored and polished to make a good exhibition item. The backplate with some surface pitting. Polished GC. (£300 - £500)
661     1867 3rd Gloucester Artillery Volunteers prize page turner.
A very fine polished ivory example bearing silver plaque engraved “3rd Gloucester Artily. Volrs. Second Prize won by Bombdr. C.H. Dancey. 5 Shots at 150, 200, 250 & 300 Yds. Total 52 Pts. Novr. 15th 1867”. Generally VGC (approx. 15 inches long). Now attractively displayed in a polished wood glazed frame. (£100 - £150)
