| 865 Third Reich. War Order of the German Cross in gold. A fine and scarce example. Eight pointed silver star with slightly smaller dark overlay. Mounted on the star, set on a red enamel ground, a gilt laurel wreath with “1941” at the base. Within the wreath, a silvered edged black enamel swastika set on a matt silver ground. Front secured to reverse with four ‘open’ rivets, complete with vertical tapered pin. No maker mark but has the charictaristics of a Klein of Hanau (134) example. VGC (£600 - £800) Instituted by Adolf Hitler for the Wehrmacht on 29th September 1941 and designed by Professor Klien of Munich. |

Gilt oval oakleaf wreath surmounted by eagle and swastika; within the wreath, a silver speeding destroyer with its bows breaking through the wreath. Solid back oakleaves with attachment for neck ribbon. Retains old lead seal impressed “Forman Guarantee” (Forman of Piccadilly). VGC (£1,500 - £2,000) |
| 884 Imperial German M1917 pattern camouflage steel helmet. The helmet retains original steel band lining and two leather pads. The shell is with clear camouflaged painted finish. The helmet retains it’s original brown leather chin strap, with two adjustment buckles and an unusual D buckle to the middle. Camouflage clear clean condition GC. (£250 - £300) |

| 891 German. Spanish Cross in bronze with swords. A good scarce example of the breast badge awarded to combatants, mainly of the Luftwaffe Legion Condor. Reverse with flat tapered pin. Verdigris to 11 o’clock eagle. GC (£200 - £250) Instituted 14th April 1939 by Hitler to reward those members of the Wehrmacht who served with distinction in the Spanish Civil War in support of General Franco. |
| 892 German. Third Reich Army Officer’s dagger by Eickhorn. A good example with yellow ivorine twist grip and plated mounts. The crossguard and langet bearing an eagle and swastika, the blade etched with maker’s squirrel logo. Housed in its plated scabbard retaining both loose suspension rings. Light stains to blade, several small dents to scabbard. GC (£180 - £220) |
| 893 German. Kriegsmarine Officer’s dagger by Eickhorn. A good example, the blade etched with fouled anchor on both sides and bearing maker’s squirrel logo. Gilded brass mounts with twist wire bound simulated ivory grip; eagle and swastika pommel. Housed in its gilt metal scabbard with lightening bolt designs and retaining both loose suspension rings. Minor stains to blade and minor dents to scabbard. GC (£180 - £250) Captured in 1945 by Gunner David James Davies BEM |
| 894 German Luftwaffe 2nd pattern Officer’s miniature dagger. A fine quality example by SMF, Solingen. Twist wire bound orange grip, plated aluminium mounts, the crossguard and langet (a little loose) bearing an eagle and swastika; double edged polished blade bearing SMF logo and DRGM on one side, the other with R in a circle and “Betonwerk Richter, Nürnberg”. Housed in its grey metal scabbard (no longer fitted with two suspension rings). GC (£100 - £200) Introduced in July 1937. Captured in 1945 by Gunner David James Davies BEM |

A good example, the blade bears etched panel bearing the inscription “Fur Erinnerung an Meine Diengtzeit” ornamented with oakleaves, crossed rifles, steel helmet etc and eagle and swastika. The reverse with Eickhorn’s squirrel logo. Two piece black composition chequered grip secured with two rivets. Housed in black painted scabbard. WW2 Kriegsmarine, Commander-in-Chief of the Navy’s Flag, A very scarce white cotton bunting example printed with Iron Cross as for Admiral but further superimposed on crossed Roman style golden swords bearing fouled anchors on the crossguard. Hoisting rope stitched through the stem which has ink stampings “Fl. d. Oberbefehish. d. M. 100 x 100” with red stamped eagle and swastika over “M”. Numerous moth holes. (100 x 100 cm) (£200 - £400) Captured by Captain Edward Reignier Conder DSO, DSC, RN. On 30 January 1943, Karl Dönitz replaced Erich Raeder as Commander-in-Chief of the Navy. |

| 900 German WW2 Naval Officer’s sword taken at the Surrender of Wilhelmshaven bearing presentation inscription. A good example by Adolf Braun, Berlin. White simulated ivory wire bound grip, lion’s head pommel with flowing mane, floral ornamented knuckle bow, folding guard bearing fouled anchor. Folding securing plate and top mount of brass bound leather scabbard bear “O. 2355”. Plated plain blade. Top mount of scabbard engraved “To Captain E.R. Conder RN from Colonel A. Grudsinski, Wilhelmshaven 6. May 1945”. Age patination overall, scuffs to scabbard leather. GC ... together with a German Naval Officer’s black silk belt, the gilded alloy buckle dated 1940. (belt AF) ... “Vagabunden auf See. 1940-41” by Weher and Ehrlich (1951) with decication “To my friend Ré from Kurt Weher” (Admiral of German Navy at Wilhelmshaven) ... “With the Tanks of the 1st Polish Armoured Division” (1946) inscribed “To Captain E.R. Conder, DSO, DSC, RN as a token of great friendship and in memory of our combined entry into Wilhelshaven, Germany’s greatest naval base on 6th of May 1945. Colonel A Grudzinski, Comd 10 polish Armd Bde, 9th April 1947, BAOR” (£300 - £500) It is believed that Captain Edward Reignier Conder DSO, DSC, RN. and Colonel Grudsinski accepted the surrender of this great naval base. |

Cream coloured example, the front cover with applied large Luftwaffe eagle and swastika with “Kommando Flughafenbereich 19/XI”, the frontispiece with dedication “Unserem scheidenden Kommandanten Generalmajor Kortüm in treuer Kameradschaft”; next page signed by all the Officers in ink and dated Hltorf 3.2.1945. | 906 German. Third Reich various award documents etc. to two Eastern Front casualties. Gefreiter Rudi Schleicher, 21st Infantry Division was killed in action 23rd July 1943 near Mustolova, Russia. Items include his Iron Cross 2nd class posthumous award document signed by Oberst von Mellenthin (Knight’s Cross & Oakleaves) ... his Wehrpass, cover and letter from a Captain to his father enclosing the Wehrpass. Gefreiter Georg Gebhardy, Panzer-Jager Abteilung 643 was killed in action 19th July 1941. Items include his Wehrpass, newspaper obituary and 1943 Grossdeutschland official death scroll of honour (Grossdeutschland absorbed his unit in March 1942).
