401     2nd London Rifle Volunteer Corps (Fleet Street Rifle Volunteers), Officer’s cartridge pouch circa 1860.
An extremely rare “front of belt” ammunition pouch in tan leather (21.4cm x 12.5cm). The front flap ornamented with a fine silver plated badge in the form of a rectangular rococo strap enclosing the crown, to the right and left of the crown the script capitals, “FS’ and “RV”. On the strap above the crown the motto, “ Arma Pacis Fulcra”. The crown and lettering with a black patent leather backing. Complete with all attachment panels and studs (slight stitching faults). VGC (£300 - £350)
Also included is a small typed note signed and dated by the late HL King giving unit details.

402     Staff Officer’s GvR Horse Bit circa 1910-35.
A good example of a steel bit retaining both gilt bosses (GvR within crowned Garter). Steel with light pitting, gilt still fresh. GC (£50 - £75)
403     9th Queen’s Royal Lancer’s Officer’s charger’s bit circa 1911-35.
A good rare steel example by Whippy & Co. ornamented either side by gilt crowned strap inscribed “Ninth Lancers” with applied GvR cypher to centre. Some surface rust to steel, bosses generally VGC. (£280 - £320)
Granted the title “Queen’s” by King William and Queen Adelaide in 1830 whilst serving at Kensington.
404     Major General's saddlecloth.
A very scarce example of dark blue cloth edged all round with two stripes of gold General Officer pattern lace. On each hind corner, bullion Bath Star and crossed sword and baton. Bullion remains fresh, a little wear (£200 - £300)
405     Yorkshire Hussars Officer’s Charger’s Throat Plume
A good scace example or red horsehair with black horsehailr core. Plain ball socket and complete with brown leather strap. GC (£40 - £60)
406     King’s Royal Rifle Corps Edwardian Officer’s silver mounted pouch belt.
A fine example of black patent leather. Silver furniture by J & Co (Jennens) bears Birmingham hallmarks. Lion’s head on circular pierced “Celer et audax” boss (1907), three strand chain secured by the lion’s mouth terminates in a silver whistle with holder (1906). Plate (1906) of Maltese cross design surmounted by a Victorian Crown resting on a tablet inscribed “Peninsula”. To the centre, within a circlet “The King’s Royal Rifle Corps”, a strung bugle with “60” lodged within the cords. The arms of the cross each bear battle honours ... complete with black patent leather covered pouch, the face bearing silver strung bugle (1908), and plain silver belt loops (1903). Patent with usual age crazing otherwise near VGC. (£300 - £400)
407     1st Nottinghamshire R.V. Corps (Robin Hood Rifles) NCO’s pouch and belt circa 1902-08.
A good example of two and a half inch black leather mounted with blackened furniture comprising circular rope edged boss bearing the Arms of Nottingham, three strand chain, whistle and holder with roped decoration. Plate being a crowned Maltese cross with lions between the angles; to the centre, an RHR cypher within a circlet inscribed 1st Nottinghamshire R.V. Corps”... together with associated black patent leather pouch, the face bearing large crowned RHR cypher on “Evocatus Paratus” scroll (evidence of previous device) (£200 - £300)

408     13th (Queen’s Westminster) Middlesex Rifle Volunteers NCO’s pouch belt .
A good example in reddish brown leather complete with silvered lion’s head boss, chains, whistle, holder and pouch belt plate of a crowned medallion of St. George and the Dragon superimposed on a portcullis. Across the base of the portcullis, a scroll inscribed “The Queens”. GC ... together with an non associated black patent, the face bearing post 1902 blackened crowned strung bugle. (2 items)

409     Seaforth Highlanders (Ross-shire Buffs, The Duke of Albany’s), post 1881 Officer’s dirk belt.
A fine and scarce example by R & HB Kirkwood, 66 & 68 Thistle St. Edinburgh. Two and a quarter inch thistle ornamented gold lace lined with red Morocco retaining burnished gilt rectangular plate with silver mounts comprising, a Royal Duke’s coronet over “L”, a stag’s head cabossed below and at the bottom a scroll, “Tulloch Ard”. Lining faintly stamped with owner’s initials H.B.G. Lace fresh, generally VGC (£150 - £200)

A good scarce example of crimson Morocco lined two inch gold lace with central crimson silk line and complete with silver buckle, tip and slide bearing London hallmarks for 1855. (£150 - £200)
411     Pre Crimea Cavalry / Yeomanry Officer’s 1846 hallmarked silver mounted pouch.
A good clean example by J & Co (Jennens) bearing ensuite hallmarks for Birmingham 1846, the silver flap decorated around the edge with scrolling foliage, the centre mounted with a large crowned “VR” cypher, reversed and interlaced. The crimson leather pouch with lines of silver wire along the top edge. Complete with silver side ornaments and belt loops. GC (£250 - £400)
412     Cavalry / Yeomanry Officer’s 1883 hallmarked silver mounted pouch.
A restored example by B & P (Bent & Parker) bearing ensuite hallmarks for Birmingham 1883, the silver flap decorated around the edge with scrolling foliage, the centre mounted with a large crowned “VR” cypher. The crimson leather pouch with lines of gold wire along the top edge. Complete with silver side ornaments and belt loops. Leather lining flap replaced, flap corners distressed during the process. 413     16th The Queen’s Lancers Officer’s 1907 silver mounted Pouch Belt
A good scarce example by Hawkes & Co. 14 Piccadilly of crimson Morocco lined two inch gold lace with central scarlet silk line and complete with silver boss, two strand chain, arrow pickers, guard, buckle, tip and slide by J & Co (Jennens) bearing London hallmarks for 1907. GC (£150 - £200)
414     Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders Officer’s sporran
A good example. Gilt cantle engraved with thistles and mounted with silvered regimental device of St. Andrew and his Cross resting in a thistle wreath, Fine white goats hair with two light brown hair tassels emerging from thistle engraved gilt bells suspended by chains. Reverse with re leather backing and wallet. VGC (£150 - £200)
415     1st Airshire Yeomanry undress sabretache.
An attractive composite display item. Black patent leather face mounted with die-stamped Star of the Order of the Thistle bearing oval inscribed “1st Airshire Yeomanry” and centrally St. Andrew and his Cross. Complete with wallet to reverse and three modern white buckskin slings. Badge highpoints polished. (£150 - £200)

A good white leather example retaining silvered rectangular plate, both sword slings and three sabretache slings. Generally VGC (£80 - £120)
417     1st Royal Gloucestershire Hussars Officer’s Shabraque hind Quarter Panel.
This section of shabraque with silver embroidery and the Regimental title embroidered into a blue velvet padded scroll. The panel with some age wear, mothing and fading ... Accompanied by a centre section only of the other hind quarter. (2 items) (£40 - £60)

Comprising: Pair of Circa 1850 cords retaining buttons of the “East Lothian Yeomanry Cav” Scarlet backing cloth ... Staffordshire Yeomanry silver hussar pattern shoulder cords bullion rank of Lieutenant complete with buttons. Blue backing cloth ... 419     Pair of Bengal Horse Artillery Officer’s Bullion Shoulder Cords
Believed to have been worn by an Officer of the Bengal Horse Artillery pre 1855. The cords are similar in construction to those of a General Officer, retaining gilt buttons depicting a shield bearing three Artillery Guns. Blue cloth backing. GC ... Accompanied by two panels of coatee collar lace retaining four small gilt buttons of the 1st West India Regiment. GC (2 Pairs) (£40 - £60)
420     Welsh Guards Drum Major’s Sash.
A fine modern EIIR example. black facing cloth, embroidered in gold and coloured silks, with the regimental devices and Battle Honours, the last being Falklands Islands 1982. Edged with gold lace of Foot Guards pattern and tassels to the base. Complete with miniature drum sticks. With a black simulated leather backing. VGC (£100 - £200)

A scarce set of gold bullion lines tailored with four lines sawn together to go around the body and terminating with acorn ends. Bullion remains fresh. GC (£50 - £100)
426     WITHDRAWN Berkshire Yeomanry Officer’s Pouch & Pouch Belt
A post WW2 example, both belt and pouch of polished brown leather. The belt mounted with a gilt metal lion’s head boss, which supports a whistle and chain, also with ornate whistle holder. The pouch mounted with a Regimental crest of a crescent and star, VGC. (£50 - £75)
427     Yeomanry Officer’s Bullion Pouch Belt.
A good clean example. Silver lace with a single crimson silk line to the centre. Mounted onto a red leather belt. The belt retains silver prickers and chain, buckle tip and slide. The Silver furniture with London Hallmarks for 1900. Bullion bright GC. (£80 - £120)

A scarce mid 19th Century example, the narrow waist belt mounted with silver lace with central crimson line. Fitted with a silvered snake clasp. Complete with bullion sword and sabretache slings. Little age wear GC. (£40 - £60)

430     Victorian Royal Navy Captain’s full dress epaulettes
A scarce pair of gilt lace epaulettes with fine twist gilt wire tassels. Within the crescent, a silver bullion foul anchor, star and pre 1901 crown denoting Captain. The underside is with padded blue silk and retailers details of “Selby Portsmouth” . Dusty condition, bullion dulled ... Accompanied by Captain’s pattern waistbelt. Black leather with three gold lines. The clasp is a pre 1901 example. Complete with sword sligs. Bullion bright (2 items) (£80 - £120)
The vendor has attributed the sword to Captain J. Moorsom, who wounded in the batteries before Sebastapol.

This example is of crimson cotton web width 3 1/4 inches. Complete with three loop and olivet fastning. Tailored with crimson cord lines terminating in tassels. GC (£40 - £60)

A scarce example, the sash of gold bullion with three crimson lines. Terminating with large tassels again of gold and crimson. GC. (£50 - £100)

A very good example of dark blue melton cloth, the face edged with gold lace of regimental pattern. To the centre,, heavily embroidered bullion Royal Arms, with “Ubique” scroll beneath, resting in a demi-wreath of laurel and oak; below the wreath, a gilt gun with mounted wheel resting on a padded tri-part crimson velvet scroll inscribed “Quo fas et gloria ducunt”. Complete with three “D” shaped suspension rings and pocket ... Accompanied by velvet lined foul weather cover. Bullion bright Near VGC (£200 - £300)

436     Irish Free State Army Infantry Officer’s shako, uniform, cape, medals and sword.
A fine rare ensemble worn by Captain Matthew Cahill Connery. 1935 pattern dark blue cloth shako with red crown embellished with gold embroidery. Gold on red bullion FF star to front, cap cords supported by silvered buttons. Crimson silk lining and top to leather sweatband. One side of shako with severe mothing ... dark blue tunic with red facings to cuffs, silvered crossed rifle collar badges and IV Harp ball buttons. Shoulder cords absent. Together with overalls with red stripe ... Dark blue cape with crimson lining, dark blue velvet collar and cloak chain, the design of each end being a circular silver boss bearing laurel wreath with Harp to centre flanked by “I” “V”. Some stitching faults ... webbing sword belt with two red Morocco lined straps of silver shamrock lace ... Sword knot of shamrock lace and distinctive finial ... Sword with plated blade bearing etched FF star and Celtic devices. Open-work guard bears FF star, shagreen grip with twist wire binding. Distinctive pommel. Housed in its plated steel scabbard which retains both loose suspension rings. Some wear to plating and light rusting to parts of the scabbard ... three medals all still in their card boxes of issue : The Service Medal 1917-21 in bronze complete with black and tan ribbon and Celtic design suspension bar as well as “Comrac” clasp and a miniature; 1939-46 Emergency Service Medal for Regular Forces with two clasps; Truce Anniversary Medal 1921-71. 437     Victorian General’s pair of shoulder cords.
A fine and scarce pre 1901 pair of plaited gold wire basket cord with small gold gimp down the centre. Each bearing silver bullion crown and Bath Star over crossed sword and baton, Blue cloth backing. GC. (£125 - £150)
438     British Army issue wooden canteen / waterbottle circa 1865.
A scarce example, similar in design to that carried during the Napoleonic and Crimea Wars. Circular shape with flat sides and steel band. Sling absent GC. Retaining original stopper. (£60 - £100)
439     Unusual military equipment possibly Boer War Period.
The leather and canvas waist belt is made with ten leather ammunition pouches and fitted with white web brace straps. To the back of the belt is a leather panel, possibly for the fitting of an entrenching tool. Leather remains supple, web straps with some mothing. (£50 - £75)
440     Royal Scots Dragoon Guards NCO’s pouch and belt.
A good example of two inch polished brown leather with gilt metal buckle and retaining brown leather pouch, the face of which bears a gilt metal eagle standing on a tablet inscribed “Waterloo” superimposed on crossed carbines. Minor service wear, generally VGC (£60 - £80)
The eagle is borne by the Regiment to commemorate Sgt Charles Ewart of the Royal Scots Greys who captured the French standard of the 45th Veteran Regiment of the Line at Waterloo.
