420     The Yorkshire Regiment Officer’s waist belt.
A good post 1881 example, white japanned leather belt retaining silvered and gilt clasp. Circlet inscribed “The Yorkshire Regiment ”; centre mounted with silver Dannebrog device. GC minor service wear. (Ryan 184) (£150 - £250)
421     16th Queen’s Lancers Officer’s 1911 hallmarked silver pouch.
A fine and rare example by ES & S. The London hallmarked silver flap engraved around the edge with leaf pattern and mounted with gilt device comprising crowned oval Garter superimposed on crossed lances, “C” to centre. The red Morocco leather covered pouch with lines of gold wire along the top edge. Complete with HM silver side ornaments and belt loops. One lance top and pennon crudely repaired. (£400 - £600)
422     3rd Hussars Officer’s 1892 hallmarked silver pouch.
A good example by B & P (Bent & Parker). The Birmingham hallmarked silver flap engraved around the edge with leaf pattern and mounted with gilt EVIIR cypher (replaced during service life). The black Morocco leather covered pouch with lines of gold wire along the top edge. Complete with silver side ornaments and HM belt loops. Small dent otherwise GC (£200 - £300)

423     6th Inniskilling Dragoon Guards Victorian Officer’s Waist belt.
This 1 1/2 inch wide red leather belt is mounted with regimental pattern gold lace. Retaining rectangular clasp, this of a gilt seed backing plate, with frosted silver overlay of a regimental device. Complete with sword slings. Gilt and bullion bright. GC. (£100 - £150)

This 1 1/2 inch wide red leather belt is mounted with regimental pattern gold lace. Retaining gilt snake clasp, Complete with sword slings. Gilt and bullion bright. GC. (£60 - £100)
425     Imperial Russian Army General’s shoulder boards.
A scarce pair of silver lace, with a zig zag line of gold lace, indicating General rank. The board is edged with scarlet piping, with an inner black line. A rare set of silver and grey bullion. Terminating with silver plated tangs, these mounted with gilt Imperial Eagles. Little age wear GC (£60 - £100)
429     Life Guards Officer’s Cuirass
A good clean 20th century example, both front and back plates are of nickel silver ornamented with brass studs. Each plate is bound with 1/4 inch black leather and dark blue velvet edging. Complete with gilt brass shoulder scales of regimental pattern, the ends section device with velvet and bullion. Red leather lining to the interior. and complete with a leather and bullion waist strap. Little amount of service wear. GC (£500 - £700)

A good pair of the pattern worn by a Lieutenant. The gold bullion strap with a silver bullion foul anchor device. Complete with gilt Victorian RN button. The crescent supports fine twist bullion tassels. GC Bullion remains bright ... Accompanied by a RN Officer’s Sword Belt. Complete with Victorian gilt clasp. 431     89th Foot (2nd Royal Irish Fusiliers) 1830 Infantry pattern shoulder scales.
A good scarce Officer’s undress pair, each comprising a dark blue melton scale edged with gold lace (now silver colour), bearing a large gilt crescent and retaining gilt 89th button. Reverse of each with two brass straps stamped “John Jones Regent Street”. Dusty condition. GC (£60 - £100)
432     Victorian Life Guards Officer’s Pouch
A good pre 1901 example. The pouch of black leather mounted with ornate gilt Collar of the Order of the Garter surmounted by a Crown with crimson velvet cap; mounted on the collar, the Star of the Order, the pierced gilt motto on a blue enamel ground with red translucent enamel ground to central Cross of St.George (small chip to lower arm). LG cypher, reversed and entwined, support either side of the Collar. Below the cyphers, a scroll, on the left side inscribed “Peninsula”, to the right inscribed “Waterloo”. Crimson velvet backing Complete with gilt rings. Slight age congealing to the patent leather. GC (£200 - £300)
433     Sash Box of Field Marshal Lord Birdwood.
Japanned case with scarlet velvet lining; the lid bearing tailor’s tablet of Hawkes & Co London and engraved brass name plate “Field Marshal Sir W Birdwood”. GC Little age wear Height 3 inches. Width 15 inches Depth 8 1/2 inches. (£60 - £100)
Born 1865, educated at Clifton College and Sandhurst. Entered 4th Bn. Royal Scots Fusiliers in 1883, 12th Lancers in 1885 becoming a Captain in 11th Bengal Lancers in 1896. He was promoted extraordinarily swiftly between 1900 and 1915 following extensive service in the Boer War in which he was mentioned in despatches five times and severely wounded. In 1915 he was promoted Lieut. General . He distinguished himself on the 1908 Mohmand Expedition for which he was awarded his DSO. During WW1 he was the first commander of the ANZAC and commanded Dardanelles Army during the evacuation. Commanded Australian & New Zealand troops and 5th Army in France with distinction. He remained General Officer commanding Australian Military Forces until 1920. In 1925 he was promoted Field Marshal.
434     19th Lancers (Fane’s Horse) Officer’s pouch.
A good scarce example, the silvered flap decorated around the edge with scrolling foliage, the centre mounted with a large silvered lead crowned “FH” cypher. The black leather covered pouch with lines of silver wire along the top edge. Complete with silvered side ornaments and belt loops. Leather dry. Front GC. (£400 - £500)
435     Earl of Chester’s Yeomanry Cavalry Officer’s charger’s breast badge.
A good scarce die-cast gilt metal example comprising a crowned strap “Earl of Chester’s Yeomanry Cavalry”; mounted to the centre, silvered Prince of Wales’ plumes. Mounted on original triangular brown leather breastplate which has two small holes for display. GC (£80 - £120)
436     10th Bengal Light Cavalry Officer’s pouch circa 1838-47.
A fine rare example retaining paper label of Moore (late Bicknells & Moore) Old Bond Street. The silvered flap engraved around the edge with leaf pattern and mounted with gilt scrolling “BLC” cypher on pierced “Bhurtpore” scroll. Above the cypher, a seeded gilt “X” within a laurel wreath. The black leather covered pouch with lines of silver wire along the top edge. Complete with silvered side ornaments and engraved belt loops. Closure tongue AF otherwise near VGC. (£500 - £750)
One of two units raised 21st May 1824, redesignated 10th Bengal Light Cavalry in 1826. As a result of the Mutiny, it was disbanded in 1857.
437     10th Bengal Light Cavalry Officer’s shoulder scales circa 1838-47.
A very fine and scarce pair of ornate silver on copper scales; the crescent of each decorated with trophies of arms. Each bearing silvered button with “10” to centre “Bhurtpore” above, “Cavalry” below. Each with dark blue melton backing cloth (with a few small moth holes) retaining partial paper label of Moore (late Bicknells & Moore) Old Bond Street. Copper visible on highpoints otherwise generally fine. (£200 - £300)

438     Royal Navy Captain’s Box Pattern Epaulettes Circa 1840
An extremely rare pair of early Epaulettes. A wide gold bullion lace strap is mounted with an embroidered Crown and foul anchor, this indicating the rank of Captain and Commodore until 1846. A bullion crescent support fine twist wire tassels. Complete with gilt button of the pattern worn by Captains from 1827 to 1843. The underside is of padded blue velvet and cotton ties. Bullion a little dulled GC. (£200 - £300)
439     Army Pay Department Officer’s waist belt and clasp.
A fine Morocco backed gold lace example with central yellow silk line. Rich gilt clasp, the circlet inscribed “Army Pay Department”, the seeded gilt centre mounted with King’s Crown Royal Crest in silver. Oak leaf ends. Generally near VGC (£80 - £120)

A rare example, the 1 inch red Morocco leather belt mounted with gold bullion lace of regimental pattern. The clasp in the form of two gilt ovals mounted with a silvered Victorian Crown connected by a snake clasp. Complete with sword slings. Bullion remains bright leather supple. GC. (£50 - £100)

443     Pre 1855 Officer’s Scarlet Worsted Waist Sash.
A scarce example, been a width of 5 inches and an approx length of 96 inches (Excluding Tassels). Terminating in crimson tassels these a length of 13 inches. Overall GC a little age wear to parts. (£40 - £60)
444     Indian Army Officer’s full dress waist sash.
A fine and scarce Officer’s example by Harman & Co of Calcutta. Gold two and a half inch bullion net with two dark blue quarter inch silk lines. Two nine inch long round tassels, with plain gold bullion knots, to the left side, these with fine gold twist wire, enclosing dark blue cord tassels. The belt lined in crimson red leather with gold tooled tailor’s details ... . Contained in a velvet lined tin box, with tailor’s details of Ranken & Co Calcutta. Bullion VGC (£80 - £120)
445     Indian Army Officer’s full dress waist sash.
A fine and scarce Officer’s example Gold two and a half inch bullion net with two dark blue quarter inch silk lines. Two eight inch long round tassels, the knots of gold and dark blue, to the left side, these with fine gold twist wire, enclosing dark blue cord tassels ... . accompanied by two sword slings with bullion lace. 446     Royal Navy Flag Officer’s undress Sword Belt.
A scarce example, the waist belt of blue webbing. Complete with both leather slings, these with gold bullion oak leaf embroidery. Clean condition. GC. (£30 - £50)
447     Rifles Officer’s pouch belt whistle and chains.
A fine silver plated example comprising a lion’s head boss on circular backing plate with raised border, three strand chain, substantial whistle and ornate holder; the holder (by J & Co) with two raised oakleaf bands, hexagonal body with Union sprays, acorn finial. VGC (£60 - £80)

A good silver plated example comprising a lion’s head boss on circular backing plate with raised border, two strand chain, whistle and ornate holder; the holder with two raised floral bands and lines to the body. GC (£50 - £75)
449     Victorian Rifle Volunteer Officer’s Pouch Belt and Pouch.
Black patent leather, the belt mounted with a silvered Lion Head Boss, supporting a whistle and chain. Complete with ornate silvered buckle tip and slide. The pouch mounted with a Crowned strung bugle. Overall GC. (£50 - £100)

451     Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Officer’s sporran.
A good example by Wm. Anderson & Sons Ltd of the undress badger head sporran bearing six gilt metal thistle embossed bells supporting white hair tassels. Complete with pocket and red Morocco leather backing. To the crown of the sporran a plain gilt metal cantle. A little service wear. GC (£100 - £200)
452     Major General's saddlecloth.
A very scarce example of dark blue cloth edged all round with two stripes of gold General Officer pattern lace. On each hind corner, bullion Bath Star and crossed sword and baton. Bullion remains fresh, a little wear (£150 - £200)
453     Victorian Officer’s Crimson Waist Sash.
This example is of crimson cotton web width 3 1/4 inches. Complete with three loop and olivette fastening. Tailored with crimson cord lines terminating in tassels. GC (£30 - £60)
454     Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders Officer’s Full Dress sporran.
A scarce attributed example. The black leather cantle is mounted with regimental devices and edged with a gilt metal mount with engraved decoration. The white goats hair, with five gold bullion tassels, each with a gold bullion net bell. The reverse of red leather and retaining pocket. Stamped with maker’s details of Brook & Son Edinburgh. GC Little age wear ... Accompanied by a copy photograph of Brigadier MacPherson MC. wearing the sporran at his wedding. (£400 - £600)
455     Edinburgh Police Pipers Sporran.
A good example with a silver plated cantle. This mounted with the Arms of Edinburgh. Black goats hair , with two white tassels, these set into a plain black patent leather bell. Retaining brown leather backing with pocket. Leather a little dry. GC (£60 - £100)
456     14th King’s Hussars Victorian post 1861 Officer’s sabretache.
A very fine and scarce example, the scarlet cloth face edged with gold lace with central cream silk line and richly embroidered with large crowned VR Cypher with regimental Eagle nestling within open laurel wreath bearing padded blue velvet cushion scrolls, to the left “Douro Fuentes D’Onor Vittoria Peninsula Chilianwallah”; to the right “Talavera Salamanca Orthes Punjaub Goojerat” with “Persia” at the base. Tan leather backing and wallet to reverse; complete with three suspension D rings. One or two moth nips otherwise generally VGC. Housed in red Morocco velvet lined foul weather cover. (£1,000 - £1,500)
14th Light Dragoons granted the Prussian Eagle and title “Duchess of York’s Own” in 1798. In 1830, on William’s accession, the title changed to The 14th (The King’s) Light Dragoons. Converted to Hussars in 1861 when this pattern of sabretache was introduced.

458     33rd (Sevenoaks) Kent Rifle Volunteers Victorian NCO’s pouch belt and pouch.
A good black patent leather example with composite furniture of silvered lion’s head boss, bronzxe two strand chain with whistle and holder; oval 24 pointed star plate with the White Horse of Kent to the centre. Together with black leather pouch bearing identical device, securing tongue AF. (£80 - £120)
