A fine example of rich crimson velvet with attached wings and streamers. Heavily embellished with one inch gold bullion lace decoration. A fresh example of the regimental pattern Scarlet melton cloth tunic with blue facings to the cuff, collar and epaulettes. Each cuff is with false cuffs bearing four rows of gold bullion lace each with a regimental button. The collar is with bullion lace and silver bullion Order of the Garter devices, the shoulder straps edged with gold bullion. Complete with post 1953 regimental pattern buttons. Quilted cotton lining. 838     12th Lancers Officer’s Stable Pattern Mess Jacket.
A scarce example of dark blue cloth, with scarlet facings to the collar and cuffs. Edged with bullion lace and to the front a row of gilt seed buttons. The shoulder are with Lancer pattern bullion cords with 2nd Lt rank stars. Interior with scarlet cotton lining. The jacket remains in clean condition, but now with a large moth to the front and a small hole to the back. ... Accompanied by a similar pattern stable mess jacket for the Royal Artillery. A rare example. The blouse retains embroidered tank sleeve badge and 7th Armoured Brigade formation badge (gold wire embroidered desert rat within a red edged white circle). The shoulder straps with Captain’s rank stars and regimental yellow and red band tapes. Complete with black lanyard. The interior with Canadian manufacturer’s details Size 7 1943 ... A rare example, scarlet melton cloth with dark blue facings to the cuff and collar, the latter with bullion regimental Eagle devices. To the shoulder straps Lieutenant rank stars. The interior with scarlet silk lining and tailor’s label of Rodgers & Company. This with ink name “D.M. Rodgers 22.2.38”. GC. (£50 - £100)
843     An Important General Officer’s scarlet full dress tunic of General H.R.H. Prince Christian
This example is attributed to General H.R.H. Prince Frederick Christian Charles Augustus of Schleswig-Holstein a member of the British Royal Family through the marriage to Princess Helena, fifth daughter of Queen Victoria. Scarlet melton cloth with dark blue facings to the cuff and collar. Both are decorated with gold bullion lace of oak leaf and acorn design. To the left breast loop provision for medals and loops for no fewer than seven breast Orders. Complete with fire gilt General Officers pattern buttons. Interior with quilted cotton lining and original ink name label “Gen HRH Prince Christian 1911”. Scarlet and bullion remains fresh, Shoulder cords absent, silk lining shot in parts. (£300 - £500)
Prince Frederick Christian Charles Augustus of Schleswig-Holstein was born in 1831 and in 1866 he met Princess Helena fifth daughter of Queen Victoria. They became engaged later that year and Victoria gave permission for them to marry and settle in England. The Princess Military career included ADC, to Queen Victoria and he was promoted to General in 1877. With further ADC appointments to Edward VII and George V. Whit this tunic dated 1911 it is presumed that it was order for the Coronation of George V which took place at Westminster Abby on the 22nd July 1911. Prince Christian died in 1917.
844     1898 Boer War Period Gordon Highlanders Other Rank’s KD Doublet.
An extremely rare untouched example, with ammunition loops above the breast pockets. This pattern was worn by the Regiment in India and then in South Africa during the Boer War. Khaki cotton material, with doublet cut away to the front. Tailored with breast pockets, with D shape flaps, and above these loop provision for Nine cartridges, also evidence of a medal having been worn on the left breast. The left cuff with two good conduct stripes and a marksman badge. Complete with Gordon brass shoulder titles and correct small Victorian General Service Buttons. The interior with issue stamps “4114 1.98 1 GDR”. Indicating January 1898 issue. VGC. (£250 - £350)
The 1st Bn served in India taking part in the storming of the Heights of Dargai on the North West Frontier, before being sent to join the 2nd Bn in South Africa during the Boer War

A very rare example, dark blue woolen cloth, to each lapel a gold embroidered Non Substantive Badge depicting a Victorian Crown, Star, Gun Star. This indicating the rank of Gunnery Instructor and sight setter. Complete with gilt Victorian RN buttons, and lining to the interior ... The jacket is accompanied by a waistcoat. A good example of scarlet melton cloth with blue facings to the cuff, collar and epaulettes. Each cuff is with false cuffs bearing four rows of gold bullion lace each with a regimental button, the cuff also with two bullion lines. The collar is ornamented with bullion lace and silver bullion flaming grenade devices, the shoulder straps edged with gold bullion. Complete with post 1953 regimental pattern gilt buttons (incorrect buttons to shoulder straps). Quilted cotton lining to the interior. Scarlet slightly dulled GC ... 851     21st Empress of India’s Lancers Officer’s Mess Jacket & Waistcoat.
A rare example of regimental pattern. Dark blue melton cloth, with French Grey facings to the collar and cuffs. The sleeves are also with a line of French Grey. The jacket is edged with gold lace of regimental pattern and to the front a row of gilt seed buttons. Complete with four post 1901 gilt regimental buttons to the cuffs. Bullion shoulder cords absent... Accompanied by a ornate regimental pattern waistcoat, of French Grey, with gold cord loops to each breast. . This has been tailored to the back with split back and cotton ties. Overall GC bullion bright, the jacket has had a replacement cotton lining tailored during its working life. A good Elizabeth II period example, of the Eton style tunic dark blue material with scarlet facings to the collar. Each cuff is decorated with a yellow mohair cord Austrian knot. To each breast 14 loops of yellow cord, with post 1953 anodised ball pattern regimental buttons and loop fastening. White cotton lining to the interior. Remains in clean condition GC. (£60 - £100)
853     Child’s Hussar Pattern Tunic.
The tunic is modelled on the Officer pattern, dark blue cloth with dark blue facings to the collar and cuffs. To each breast six rows of gold coloured mohair cord, this repeated to the Austrian knots to each cuff. Full quilted cotton lining. Complete with shoulder cords, mounted with single rank star. The tunic is tailored to a very high standard, with full quilted cotton lining, and remains in good fresh condition. (£100 - £150)
854     Child’s Royal Marines Blue Service dress Pattern Tunic.
The tunic is modelled on the Other Rank’s 1902 pattern dark blue tunic, with pockets to the waist and breast. The shoulder straps with “RM” shoulder titles and to the front five brass Royal Marines Buttons. Pocket and shoulder strap buttons are plain gilt. The tunic is tailored to a very high standard and remains in good fresh condition. (£50 - £100)
855     Child’s Scots Guards Scarlet Coatee Tunic.
This child’s coatee is tailored to very high standard. Scarlet melton cloth, with dark blue facings to the lapels and cuffs, the latter ornamented with a frill. Edged with gold lace, which is repeated to the false pockets and complemented with Order of the Thistle miniature tail ornaments. Complete with small post 1901 Scots Guards buttons’ cotton lining. Scarlet bright and bullion near VGC (£100 - £200)
856     3rd Bengal Cavalry Skinner’s Horse Officer’s Kurta.
A good rare example dark blue melton cloth with yellow facings to the collar, The shoulders and cuffs are plain. The collar and front ornamented with one inch gold lace of regimental pattern, edged with cord loops, the cuffs with gold lace again edged with cord loops. Complete with three gilt brass buttons bearing S.H. surmounted by a 3 and a Crown. The interior with a full black cotton lining. The overall condition is good, now with a stitching fault along the seam at the crown of the rear vent. Shoulder chains absent. (£400 - £600)
857     Irish Guards Officer’s Scarlet Tunic
A post 1953 example, scarlet cloth with blue facings to the cuffs, collar and epaulettes. The latter bearing gilt wire embroidery edging (rank and buttons absent). The collar is ornamented with gilt wire line and block embroidery mounted with silver wire shamrocks. To the front Queen’s Crown regimental gilt brass buttons arranged in two groups of four (2 absent). Buttons are also present to the tail and cuffs (1 absent). Scarlet remains bright, bullion dulled. (£150 - £200)

A rare example of dark blue melton cloth, with scarlet facings to the cuff and collar, both embroidered with bullion oak leaf and acorns. Complete with gilt mounted Victorian RHG buttons. The interior with original quilted cotton lining The overall condition is good, scarlet and bullion remains bright. Stitching fault to the seam at the back of the collar (Please note material not torn). Original buttons have been moved for to accommodate a larger wearer. (£250 - £300)

A scarce example of scarlet melton cloth, with dark blue velvet facings to the cuff and collar, both embroidered with bullion oak leaf and acorns. The interior with quilted silk lining (Now shot to parts and repaired) The scarlet and bullion remain bright, some wear. This example is tailored with EIIR regimental buttons to the cuffs and seven 1st Life Guards (King’s Crown) buttons to the front. (£150 - £200)

A rare example of Hodden gray cloth, with scarlet facings to the collar, shoulder straps and cuffs. Tailored with pockets to the breast and waist and complete with Victorian Crown strung bugle silvered buttons. To the left breast the green ribbon of the Volunteer Decoration. A rare example of dark blue cloth, tailored with breast and waist pockets. Complete with gilt “CCG” buttons and embroidered shield formation badge. To the left breast medal ribbons of: 1939/45 Star, Africa Star “8” clasp, Italy Star, Defence Medal, War Medal. Complete with separate waist belt ... and overalls. 863     WW1 Pattern British Army Greatcoat.
An example of the 3rd pattern, single breasted without turnbacks to the cuffs and rifle patches to the shoulder. Introduced into the British Army from 1917 and continued to be worn in the inter war years. This example is fitted with replacement General Service buttons and shows evidence of shoulder titles having been worn. The interior with half white wool lining, khaki cloth pocket linings and white cotton strengthening seams. Some service wear GC (£60 - £100)
864     Victorian Yeomanry Field Officer’s Hussar Pattern tunic.
A scarce full dress tunic of dark blue melton cloth,with scarlet facings to the collar and cuffs. Silver gimp cord knot decoration to each cuff indicating Field Rank and to the silver plated shoulder cords Victorian Lieutenant Colonel rank To each breast six silver bullion gimp cord drop loops with gimp purl buttons, loop and olivettes also with concealed hook and eye fasting. Gimp cord is repeated to the back of the tunic. Bullion dulled, near black in places. Overall GC, Little age wear. (£200 - £300)

A rare example modeled on the 1880 pattern tunic. Scarlet melton cloth, with dark blue facings to the collar and cuffs and a dark blue line edges the front. The collar with bullion regimental King’s Crown collar badges. The gold bullion shoulder cords with Colonel rank insignia and the tunic is complete with regimental brass buttons. A scarce pre 1880 example, dark blue melton cloth, edged with mohair lace. To each breast, five double drop loops of black gimp mohair cord, with loops and olivettes and concealed hook and eye fastening. To the collar and bullion Victorian rank crown. The interior with full cotton lining ... Accompanied by overalls, with silver lace and central scarlet silk line. The interior with ink name H. Byrne Esq. Overall nice clean condition. 868     Victorian Undress Uniform of an ADC to the General Governor of Ireland.
This is a rare undress pattern tunic, believed to have been worn by a Volunteer Officer ADC. Dark blue melton cloth with scarlet facings to the collar, this decorated with silver bullion shamrock embroidery. This embroidery is repeated to the sash cuffs, which are complemented with a scarlet line and three small silvered buttons. To each breast eight dark blue mohair cord lines, the first five mounted with silvered buttons. The left shoulder with silver bullion cord, the right shoulder with provision for cord and aiguillettes. Quilted silk lining to the interior. GC (£200 - £400)
869     Fife Mounted Rifles Volunteers Officer’s scarlet tunic.
A scarce example of the 1880 pattern tunic, with the feature of a V to the front of the collar. Fully cotton lined scarlet melton cloth, with silver double loop of lace to the collar. The cuffs are of regimental pattern with silver lace and four regimental “FMRV” buttons, these are repeated to the front of the tunic. The shoulder cords are absent. The scarlet and lace remains bright and fresh. Two small moth holes to the back and some to the front. GC (£120 - £150)
The vendor has attributed this tunic to Lt Col George Clerk Cheape formerly of the 11th and 19th Hussars.

A scarce late 19th Century Officer’s example. Dark blue melton cloth, to each breast five loops of gimp mohair cord four tailored with olivettes and concealed hook and eye fastening. The rounded V shape collar is edged with mohair lace and further decorated with loops of mohair cord. The shoulder straps with bullion Lieutenant’s rank insignia. Quilted cotton lining to the interior. Remains in good clean condition. (£100 - £150)
The vendor has attributed this frock to the Lancashire Hussars.
871     Earl of Dudley Late 19th Century Postillion’s Jacket
A scarce short “Pee” style jacket of dark blue melton cloth. body and mustered coloured arms. To each breast 16 loops of gold lace mounted with gilt armorial Crested buttons, the design depicting a Lion Head azure out of a ducal Coronet. This within a Coronet surmounted motto strap “Comme Je Fus”. The interior with a quilted lining. Overall GC with a little age wear and some moth hole peppering. (86 buttons present) (£50 - £100)

885     A British 1917 pattern small box respirator.
A rare example of the WWI issue pattern face mask. Green rubberised canvas with two eye pieces and hose attachment, complete with canister. The later with service card attached. The bag bears maker’s stamp and date 1917 and is the correct pattern, with leather tag and brass button. The mask remains very supple, the hose is now detached from the canister. Overall GC.
